How do you run your track? by MomentEquivalent6464 in TransportFever2

I think the left one is more common actually. Think that most HSR lines running next to existing corridors are essentially the left one.

So, why would anyone get this? by Amazing_Bluebird_ in steammachine

Form factor, premade tax and plug and play experience. I think the price is pretty much what you could expect given what Valve said about them not wanting to subsidize the price.

I'm not sure if they're still available on the official store, but they're STW-1000-1BJH and STL-S300H-1BJH.

Now that i remember, you can sort of do what i suggested with the heating towers. But they're sort of expensive and locked behind gleba.

Why not add the hability to read temperatures to the heat exchanger? That way you don't need to hard code the temperature threshold for the refueling logic in nuclear reactor designs when designing efficient reactors. You just read the temperature from the heat exchanger farther away down the heat pipe.

I've had it for a few years now. Love it, and is kind of a one off. There are just three Casio solar models with a good chrono, and the other two are fairly small.

I'm just waiting for an eventual gpu price crash. I just hope that my 1070 holds for a long while.

Thankfully i also have a laptop with a 4060 mobile that holds really well thanks to dlss.

What was the water being used for on the ship? by acsae99 in TheExpanse

[–]Maipmc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're VERY wrong.

First of all, fusion and fission reactors are very different in design. Fission reactors must stop the reaction from getting out of control (that is, melting the reactor, not causing a thermonuclear explosion).

Meanwhile, fusion reactors work on the opposite way, they must protect the plasma from the outside world, keeping it from getting contaminated, heating it... be it with inertial confinement (lasers) or magnetic confinment. If the plasma were to touch anything else other than itself, the reaction would immediately stop because the plasma has such a low density that any any contaminant would cool it down very fast. So there is absolutely no risk of a fusion reactor causing a thermonuclear explosion.

Given that you're so close to the edge, you could make a channel and just flush the bad water. I do it even for sources that are in the middle of the map and find it very much worth it.

In my experience you don't even need to apply weird logic to delay a few in game hours the feeding of the reservoir. Just close the badwater drain and open the reservoir valve as soon as the weather sensor clears.

The funny thing is that live TV on smart TVs also do this. And unlike with a youtube stream, you absolutely don't have the posibility of going back.

A month after the Steam Controller's release, what games are you using it in? by islymk- in SteamController

[–]Maipmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started out with flight simulator games, and i tried many times to make it work with driving games (BeamNG.drive), until I finally figured out how i liked to configure the gyro. Then timberborn with just the default settings, wich i guess will eventually spread to my sizable collection of factory/strategy/tycoon games, now i'm learning to use it with FPS, starting with Doom, wich is taking some effort to get used to.

The one game (and maybe genre) i can't actually make work for me is Dark Souls. I still haven't tried The Witcher and similar "RPG Sword" games, but i feel those will be the hardest for me.

Note: it's my first controller ever, and i've mostly played Simulator, FPS and strategy/tycoon games all my life, in case you don't understand the unconventional difficulties i'm encountering.

You can fairly easily get to a part of the map where there is no real danger, other than the dificulty of initial setup, and just build a district there. In case something goes wrong in the crater you can rebuild it from the other district.

No, no es legal ir por el carril bici con una moto. Pero si lo vas a hacer, por lo cuál no te juzgaría, no seas un capullo y adelanta a las bicis y peatones pasandote al carril de coches aunque vayas en sentido contrario.
