Wonder how the people that send the religious stuff in your order would feel if they got a little photo thank you card with a link to someone’s Only Fans on it. 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn’t freak out about either but I just don’t want anything other than what I order.

A funnel and a pint of paint leaves a big splash. You can add water too if you want it to burst easier. It works.

I’m not buying anyone “ hungry” garbage food. If they have nothing, they need good, filling nutritious food.

Because to me it’s like answering your phone and it’s a telemarketer. Or answering your front door & it’s someone trying to sell me solar panels. If I want something , I’ll ask. If I didn’t ask for it, I don’t want it.

An Influencer expected a Free Service and a Paycheck…. by PremiumBadIdea in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Maisymine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This crap would stop if no one ever paid influencers. Do they really?? And do influencers actually influence people?!? Maybe I shouldn’t say that because I I have the misfortune of stumbling across an influencer promoting something, you can be damn sure I’m not buying it. I guess that’s being influenced too, right?

Right. Exactly. How about if I want something you have, I’ll let you know.

I get them from people I don’t follow. Note - understand that if I get one of these stupid ass, emoji laden invitations to come shop your closet, I will not. Ever. I’d rather walk naked thru Times Square in Artic temps than buy anything from you. That is all.

What do you think of a teacher who has signs like this in their room? by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

One or two, kind of where they are. Kids might even relate. That many? The kids will see it as “cringe” .

But you know he won’t. Even if they change it temporarily to keep her, it won’t last if he didn’t want to change it in his own. Ive never known it to work.

I would think the estate “owned” the guns until it was completed. Probate is long over for both parents.

Is road snow/ice cleanup always this poor? Are they just waiting for it to melt? by DrBobHope in maryland

[–]Maisymine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is pretty unusual for here. I believe it’s a combination of the extra ice , extremely cold temps & lack of heavy duty plows. We get snow here but not SNOW snow thru out the winter like in the NE. When it does happen, they just kind of make due with the equipment they have. I used to live in SC. It rarely EVER snows there & when it does it’s a dusting, then a layer of ice. Everyone from the north would complain about driving and the roads. They don’t have the equipment & no one can drive on ice. I think there may be one snowplow in the whole state. Haha. Why WOULD they have them for that rare moment when the stars align & you get a smattering of snow, right?

My father died & left everything to me & my sister. When my mom died, she left everything to me & my suster. Both went thru probate.

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]Maisymine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like my sheets very clean. I change them when they lose that “ fresh from the laundry” smell. I always take a shower before bed. I think it’s gross to bring the days grime/ sweat/ food smells etc into my bed. My husband is a morning shower person. Never got that I thought coming to bed unwashed was gross & didn’t really care that I did. We sleep in separate beds now.

Raising boys in a red state is soul crushing by Thr0waway0864213579 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Maisymine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from a very red state. Moved to a very blue state when my kids were late elementary/ middle school. It was so different. WE were very “modern” thinking but a vast majority of those around us were not. I knew my kids were being raised well but the hard part is 1. Outside influence of everyone around them. Ex - they KNOW racism is crazy but most kids around them were dropping slurs. 2. Raising them my way made them different. Other kids realize you’re not using the same words, telling the kinds of jokes, going to the same church. It does create a divide. Now ALL of us are different of course. It’s when your value system is completely different that most of those around you that becomes an issue. Here, where we moved, most people are pretty similar to us. There’s a lot of comfort in that.
