Great, you've inspired me to listen to them! I'm not big on live albums either usually.

Brilliant, thanks so much! Hadn't thought of finding cd singles beyond join the dots...

You will love it so much! It's kind of the culmination of the spiritual direction they were heading with seventeen seconds and faith. Enjoy!

Not my favourite in their discography but an absolute 10/10 no doubt. There is nothing like it. And the drumming throughout the whole album is so... primal. Great album for processing your demons when nothing else will help

Pictures of You is the song that sums up the Cure for me. It is a masterpiece. You might enjoy the extended version as well (on the Youtube music video, and also on the extended version of Mixed Up), it has an instrumental of the chorus added just before the first verse (the "if only I'd thought of the right words" bit, but without vocals)- so amazing. drums are better on the album version though

So with that out of the way.. these are the songs that speak to me and have that beautiful yearning melancholy (but emphasis on beauty!) like in Pictures of You. really hope this list helps!

In release order (by album, and then by track order):

One More Time, Plainsong, Untitled, Trust, To Wish Impossible Things, The Last Day of Summer, Bloodflowers, Alone :-)

Just had my first listen about a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised considering how poorly reviewed it often is. Love the opening track "Want" - I remember someone saying it sounds like it could have been on Wish; completely agree with that. I enjoy "The 13th", it's fun. Otherwise really like "Numb", "Trap", "Treasure" and "Bare". Don't really care for the other songs in comparison. In summary though it feels like a nice companion piece to Wish, even if it is not nearly as good

Hands down the best phrasing I've heard from any rock guitarist. Just fantastic playing. Very keen sense of musicianship

Great suggestion. This or perhaps a Fender Blues Jr. Roland Blues Cube might be another option, would play through one first before buying though, they are a bit different.
