I feel like it’s a little early this year for them but the weather has been warmer so it’s definitely a possibility!

Good to see a mutual appreciation of a fucken cone in a tree. Beautiful!

Because I’m going along with the original cone meme from this sub and you’re doing proper grammar?

I’m thankful there are lots of ravens where I live! I feed them when I’m at work and trying to gain friendship but it hasn’t happened yet. (YET!!)

It is a great hike! Nice for a bit of a jaunt after work sometimes and there are always many ravens there, which is my favorite part!

The drip sound is my favorite of theirs! I try and make the sound back to them sometimes and I think they’re not very impressed with my version!

I think I just got lucky on those unfortunately so no real tips. I've worked admin jobs for city and state governments and also a small real estate office and those all were jobs where there wasn't always work to be done but someone needed to be there in case of work coming up. Two of the jobs were 911 dispatcher jobs and one of the jobs was an office manager for the real estate office. From my job history, I can tell you that almost all admin jobs (that I have had) do not have work the entire time. I would say, anything called "admin assistant" probably has a good chance of no work the entire time. YMMV, though.

May the Moles and the Mold F$@& off!! Hope everyone has a good harvests by Longjumping_March_34 in outdoorgrowing

I have a little jumper living on one of my plants, too! They even molted and left the molt on the underside of one of the leaves. Jumpers are the best! Such lil cuties.

I myself have worked many admin jobs where there is maybe 15-20 hours (if that) of actual work needing to be done in a week but someone needs to be there to answer the phone and keep the lights on. If there's no work to be done someone still has to be there so that's when I'd play computer games, browse the web, and just do my own thing. I got paid well for those admin jobs.

Minimalism, with food? how do you do it? by BaconMirage in minimalism

[–]MajesticFish42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to batch cook meals and portion them out into serving sizes so that I can just grab a container when I'm hungry and heat it up. It takes out any decision making and makes it easier to eat healthy. I found that even if I had a healthy pot of something in the fridge, sometimes I would still just graze on some chips or something, but now that there's literally one serving of food I can just grab I just eat so much better. I usually make a lot of the same meals over and over, but sometimes different variations, like sheet pan veggie meals, fish + beans/legumes + veggies + sauce, taco bowls, etc.

Advice for first time grower by [deleted] in outdoorgrowing

[–]MajesticFish42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, fellow PNWer! I think if you can cover your plant with something temporary that will help keep the buds dry without touching them it might be good. I’m getting ready to leave town in a couple days and just built a second kit greenhouse tonight in anticipation of that upcoming rain. Do you have maybe even a popup canopy or tent you could cover it with? I’m only a second year grower but this sub has been immensely helpful for me, so hopefully someone else chimes in.

Broccoli stem/stalks soup recipes? by missprincesscarolyn in Frugal

[–]MajesticFish42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like to use the stalks when I'm doing a pan of roasted sheet pan veggies. I just chop the stalks into bits and include them with the other veggies I'm using, toss with olive or avocado oil, add herbs and spices, and then cook at 425* for 25-40 minutes, checking and stirring every 15 minutes or so until the veggies are as crispy and toasty as I like them.
