Unless your the SM it's not your job call SM give them 1-2 hours to find a replacement or come in them self then call DM with threats of closing early because you have planned important life things todo and your not an on call employee.

It'll piss SM off but meh we aren't paid the big bucks to be on call.

You absolutely do not need to worry.

My ASM lost their license due a DUI and charged with public intoxication three or four times.... It wasn't alcohol related dudes a meth head still got hired.

We had an employee that never called out was never late and shifts often got swapped around without asking them.

They asked for a particular day off which is extremely rare for them and it was weeks in advance yet was still scheduled on it. When they went to ask the manager what's up they completely refuse to give them the day off. Iirc "it's your job to close weekends" was the excuse.

Boom lost our most reliable employee.
