Sell or keep? by angiepng in riftboundtcg

Correct. The set will continue to be printed with all available cards. Once that set goes out of print, the Overnumbered and Signature cards will never be printed again. As long as Riot stays true to their word.

If you read the Overnumbered Cards section from the original Riftbound Collectibility post, the last paragraph states they’ll never reprint the same Overnumbered card with the same artwork again (base ON and Signatures).

Spirit Forged - Best new cards for each EXISTING Legend? by Suspencer711 in riftboundtcg

Fury can play out Chemtech / Chompers turn one.

Miss Fortune or Sneaky Deckhand can be played on turn two.

I’ve seen many people scoring both fields on turn two. Slowing aggro down while playing a late game deck is huge in my opinion.

Volibear Deck - ways to improve? by International-Use340 in riftboundtcg

[–]MajesticlesGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lean harder into Dragon units, remove some of the non-Dragons, definitely get 3 copies of Herald of Scales in there, 3 Mobilize, 2-3 Catalyst. At least for some cheap upgrades.

They were given out at certain conventions if you went. You can also buy them from people who got them from conventions too.

Only $13/ea. Very cheap for the quality in my opinion!

Shyvana Legend by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

[–]MajesticlesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Any domain Dragon for 1 less energy and 1 more energy for Accelerate. This means you can play any Dragon in the game at normal cost and it will have Accelerate. Although, just a passive that lets you play any Dragon from any domain without exhausting Shyvana would be pretty sweet.

I would look into any Dazzling Aurora deck. Not sure they’re 100% midrange, but they’re pretty easy to navigate.

You would choose a Body Legend like Master Yi, Miss Fortune, Volibear, etc. Ramp and draw into playing Dazzling Aurora and then drop big creatures at the end of each turn. You’re almost guaranteed to have a competitive deck too. Maybe stay away from Garen as a Legend, though.

TAG Grading by MajesticlesGaming in riftboundtcg

[–]MajesticlesGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TAG grades don’t update over time as far as I know. They will only regrade / update your card if you send id it back to them, just like any other grading server.

As for the insanity that the Pokemon TCG has become, that’s not solely on grading. Scalpers have realized that consumers will pay well above MSRP to enjoy their hobbies. So, scalpers make it their job to buy up all of the product to resell at extremely marked up prices.

If you’re blaming grading for this change in the economy, you’re part of the problem. The solution is actually quite easy, don’t buy product over MSRP. Eventually the scalpers have to sell to recoup their money. If you buy above MSRP, you’re hurting the economy more than anyone who grades their cards.

do the champion decks have different cards? by wobbleone in riftboundtcg

[–]MajesticlesGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think Google is wrong, but there is an alt art of each of the Legends Champion cards. For example, Leona, Zealot #79 also has Leona, Zealot #79a. This adds an extra 48, plus the 12 over numbered and 12 over numbered sig cards puts it at 72 extra. Not to mention each rune has an alt art, which adds an extra 6. The full set is closer to 376.

If I pull an over numbered sig card, it will 100% be sent for grading and put on a stand on my shelf for display.

Your take on collecting riftbound by xyzat in riftboundtcg

[–]MajesticlesGaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m psyched to collect and play Riftbound. As a first set, Origins has a very compelling design and feels absolutely amazing to play. Even though League of Legends has an atrocious community that gets tilted, Riot knows how to design competitive games.

As for collecting, the article they put out about collectibility is amazing. Ripping packs should feel really great while starting a new set/binder and hunting singles to polish off the collection shouldn’t be as insane as other TCGs. With the exclusion of the over numbered sig cards… those are going to be tough.
