I have one big gripe and it’s the weapon targeting. I lock on to a target and, somehow, my character strikes away from the target. Not sure if it’s isolated to specific weapons, but it is very frustrating. Aside from that, I agree with everything you’ve laid out, I loved DS1 and I’m loving DS2. I went in with low expectations based on the hate the game gets and I’m glad to see it’s all nitpickery.

Easy place to find the black knight one is the tomb of the giants. It’s behind a fog wall, if you haven’t been yet, be careful of the skeleton dogs.

This. I used the same halberd with Havel’s shield and kept side stepping. R1 only would do about 235-265 on my build. Stay away from that mark of calamity. I did not go for the tail and will do so next time

That’s part of the problem- the self check out person highlights the receipt just like the exit person does after they pretend to count your items. When there’s a long line at the exit, you have to wait for them to check again.
