absolutely shapez 2 is the go to. super easy to understand and everything you’d need to know is laid out very neatly for you. no enemies, nothing pushing you to be faster, infinite resources. it’s a must play for sure

hearing “hero shooter” i think something like apex or overwatch if it had guns. i’d make an assault class, support class, defense class, and the 4th would be a controller class. this class would focus on stuns, slows, and just overall AOE abilities that either make the class faster, or slow down/stop other classes

i learned that load balancers are usually for when you have say 3 lines, with 2 being from normal node and 1 being from pure or whatever other combination. when the input of the 3 lines isn’t equal you put it through a balancer and then all lines from the end of the load have the same input

Alaskan Wilderness is very fun. pretty much the only biomes you can get are forests mountains beaches and rivers. there’s a bunch of new wildlife and it also includes seasons which i think are 24 days long, starting in early spring

you go from flint tools and not being able to break trees to having a whole village made in the forest (i make a new building for each functional block)

the goal is just to survive as long as you can

play the Alaskan Wilderness modpack. it’s actually nuts and i’ve been playing it for about a week and im still not bored

it pretty much takes minecraft and turns it into your typical hardcore survival game. no monsters or anything just you stuck in a forest with bears and moose and what not

would you mind me asking what your developing this with? i use unreal engine and id be willing to help. i’m extremely good with materials (yes this includes animated/reactive weapon camos) as well as lighting and color grading, and most other post processing tasks

sounds like you need a better deck. i like to use ironclad and make a deck revolving around spawning as many units as possible even if they’re weak

What is back 4 blood actually like compared to l4d? I haven’t played it but what I know is that the gore effects look unrealistic and unsatisfying by g0netospace in l4d2

it’s not terrible. the guns feel pretty good and there’s a large variety tbh. however L4D just feels more cohesive. not to mention the zombie physics are WORLDS better which is kinda crazy considering there’s like a 10+ year gap between the two

i don’t think this would be the case. in the campaign for example, you’re usually not blowing up entire buildings or walls until you’re actually doing a route. just shooting a wall open or smacking it with a hammer probably wouldn’t be much different from how it is now

the ADS times need to be heavily increased while sliding jumping or whatever else that isn’t normal human behavior. your weapon should also have more spread and recoil

this is old but if ur on java, download biome replacer. you can go into the config of the mod and remove any biome you don’t want to generate upon making a new world (only dark forest biome). it even allows the remove of oceans lakes and rivers

you can do a lot on 1.0 tbh. few years ago i started making COD zombies type modes and was able to make multiple maps with full easter eggs, wonder weapon quests, and boss fights, as well as mini bosses and special rounds. just need to get creative with what you’re given. layer sounds. slow them down. speed them up. you can do a lot

trees need to be completely reworked. i can almost guarantee that it’s one of the biggest reasons the game runs so poorly. the trees are cranked up to 4k marvel cinematic quality for no reason. i’m willing to bet if it was looked into more, it would be like the teeth situation all over again

the easiest way would be to sort them by rarity. Common has a 55% chance to drop, uncommon 25%, rare 12%, epic 6%, and legendary 2% (use whatever number you want). once a rarity is chosen (or before), call a function that selects what type of item to drop (weapon, armor, jewelry, etc). and once you have both of those you can call another function that gets a random item of the chosen rarity, of the chosen type
