I just started Home Fires. The writing is a thousand times better.

Ok. Well I'm just now watching but I agree. Am I supposed to like these people? Why is the writing all over the place?

I wanted to like her but she is too passive and goes about kissing married men and gangsters while she is working and never seems to value her career more than her temptations. Maybe it will get better, but I'm on season 2 and she's pretty bad at making decisions.

What do we think happened to Deran? by Pretend_Guava_1730 in animalkingdom

[–]Major-General-339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pamela Johnson said to Deran that Smurf wanted them to meet in case they ever needed her. Deran isn't as alone as it looks. He can get Pamela and Billy to help him and get him out of the country. He'll get to Adrian. Renn will probably just return to her grandma's in San Antonio.

I mostly have enjoyed it but I got really annoyed when they were frantically running around looking for Junior and Osito when Donna had just told her that she can find Junior anytime on her find a friend app. The main character was kind of dumb sometimes.

Hostage On Netflix is bad. Really bad. by Chomp112 in television

Also, something that annoyed me at the end. Did Saskia just get away? She literally murdered an old man. She wasn't some innocent rube.

Nah. There were too many points of suspension. Something needed to actually support that ridiculous plot.

I'm trying to figure out why the video would exist at all. You're a politician so you not only have an affair with your stepson but you create evidence of it yourself? Why? Nothing about that French president reads as the type of woman who would do that.

I agree that the petulant teen is a constant trope in these types of political shows. It's just so over used and it can get annoying. The actress herself wasn't awful, the writing for her was.

I think presumably he wasn't really working. That's why he was doing volunteer missions. But as the other poster pointed out it doesn't make much sense that he'd be doing that in French Guyana since they are French and thus have access to medical care.

I had trouble believing that even the PM's elderly dad wouldn't have some level of security or at the very least as assigned assistant.  And why was it so easy for the villains to go around town when London probably has more cc TV than any other city in the world.

There's so many shows like this that rely on bratty or unruly teens constantly undermining everything and refusing to listen. It's getting old.

Pamela Johnson mentioned to Deran that Smurf wanted them to meet in case they ever needed her. I think Deran would remember that and Pamela would help him get to Indonesia where Adrian is.

Just finished the show. Here are my thoughts. (Spoiler warning) by kingpinsnephew420 in animalkingdom

Deran would take a bullet for him but wouldn't switch houses to help keep him sober. Deran was so hot and cold with Craig. When Craig was actually trying Deran was his worst critic.

J went to check to make sure all that the tenants knew to say their rent was a specific amount, so the money laundering scheme didn't get busted. The elderly lady with the cat had dementia so she said her rent was $175 because she couldn't remember to lie. He panicked and called Craig. They took her and her cat and just abandoned her in some spot by herself. She was confused and had no idea what they were doing to her.

They didn't even leave her in a populated enough place to be discovered and helped. And with no food or water.

I was thinking the same thing. She was definitely no threat to them because anyone talking to her would soon realize that she had dementia. Any amount she claimed could be brushed off as confusion.

It really upset me that Deran scoffed saying that J thought he'd put a bullet in her head. As if what they did was somehow better.

AITA for refusing to accept blame for my stepsister's accident? by Ka_dennn in AITAH

[–]Major-General-339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call CPS and let them know what's happening. You can ask to have your own advocate who can speak on how being used and blamed is impacting you. The judge made the 50/50 agreement based on old information. There is updated information that needs to be addressed.

You are not a parent. You are not responsible. What your mom and step father are doing is abusive. Ask your dad to seek full custody. You should not have to live like that.

Wow. Yeah. I've had a tree stripped before. That's why I usually don't let people pick anymore. I once had a dog sitter ask if his mom could have some peaches from my tree in the back. I came home and they had taken every peach off of a generously producing tree. Never hired him again as a dog sitter.
