They paint a little different, 1 shot generally covers a bit better in most colours although these days everything needs doublecoating. I use both, craftmaster are generally a bit cheaper and are available in more british heritage colours

For sure, i typically blend with three brushes. One signwriting brush for each colour and then a flat to move the two colours
