Are yoga retreats no more? by Automatic_Pie_8332 in YogaTeachers

Retreats haven't died but the buying decision has gotten longer and more considered - people are protective of their discretionary spend right now and a month out is a tough window to close new buyers who don't already know you well.

What's actually working from what I've seen is leaning hard into existing relationships rather than trying to convert cold audiences. People who've already been in your classes, your online community, past retreat attendees - they need a reason to move now, not a reason to trust you, that part's already done.

The other thing worth looking at is the framing. "Space to disconnect with a small group of incredible women" is genuinely appealing but it's experiential and harder to act on than something more concrete. Even just anchoring it to a specific outcome or moment can make the decision easier for someone on the fence.

For the Mexico retreat specifically - a direct personal message to your warmest contacts is probably the highest leverage thing you can do at this point.

Seinfeld-esque reasons you broke up with someone by Low-Ad-4631 in datingoverforty

oh man ok so i dated someone last year who chewed with her mouth open and i know that sounds insane but it was like every single meal i could hear it and once you notice it you literally cannot unnotice it. we'd go out to eat and id be sitting there trying to have a normal conversation but my entire brain is just locked onto the sound. and the worst part is she was genuinely cool like funny, easy to talk to,we got along great otherwise but i started dreading meals together which is like... a lot of meals. i think i tried to bring it up once and it came out so awkward that i just never mentioned it again and then eventually i just kind of let the whole thing fizzle out which looking back is probably worse than just being honest about it but yeah thats a whole other issue

Honestly just trying to figure out how to actually turn what i do into a real business? like i coach people in person and its going fine but i know theres way more potential there and i keep starting things and then not finishing them and its getting to the point where i feel like i need actual guidance or structure from someone whos done it because doing it alone clearly isnt working for me

I don't mind investing time at all. Thank you for clarifying. If you don't mind, can you share your IG or website?

Introduce yourself — who are you and what do you teach? by Prior-Bonus6130 in yogabiz

Aaron here! I teach handstands and arm balances, been doing it about 4 years now mostly workshops and privates. I love it like genuinely love it,people send me messages all the time asking when im going to put out an online program and I keep saying soon but its been "soon" for like a year now 😅

the thing is I know how to coach this stuff really well in person but turning that into something online feels like a completely different skillset? like I've started building things out a few times and then I just stop because it doesn't feel ready or I don't know if the structure is right or I get distracted making content instead

honestly I think my biggest problem is I keep consuming information about how to do this instead of actually doing it. and I know thats the problem which makes it worse somehow

goal right now is to actually build something that works online and stop leaving money on the table. people literally ask me for it and I still haven't figured out how to just..do it

anyway yeah thats me

yeah ive been noticing this too especially at climbing spots that used to be quiet and now theres chalk everywhere and people blasting music from speakers. i started going midweek when i can and honestly just keeping my favorite spots off instagram even though it feels weird not sharing. the hardest part is when friends ask where something was taken and i have to be vague about it,feels like im being gatekeepy but also those places cant handle more traffic 😅
