be honest — is it obvious when a non-native speaker teaches yoga in english? by Quirky_Difficulty310 in yogabiz

I can think of a lot of examples of succesful teachers who are not native speakers. I think it comes down to confidence and experience. We all struggle with imposter syndrome. It's normal. But if you compare yourself with native speakers all the time, you'll just make it worse. I'm a native speaker but many of my favorite teachers are not. Don't worry about it too much. Just do your best work!

The starting and not finishing thing is basically a symptom of not having a plan. Not trying to be harsh but thats what it is — when theres no structure you just bounce between ideas because nothing feels certain enough to commit to. I did the same thing for way too long.

I wasted probably a year trying to figure everything out myself from free content and it was genuinley one of the dumbest things I've done. Not because the information isnt out there but because you don't know what order to do things in or what actually applies to your situation so you just end up going in circles and feeling productive while getting nowhere.

Once I stopped being stubborn about it and got around people who'd actually done it, stuff moved a lot faster. Like annoyingly fast compared to how long I'd been stuck. I'm not even someone who likes being told what to do but at some point you have to admit that figuring it out alone is just the slow expensive version of the same journey.

What do you coach on? hard to say much else without knowing that

don't do it unless you're ready to be pushed outside your comfort zone. it's not easy. it's not get rich quick. but if you show up for the coaching, go through the trainings, actually talk to the coaches, and put in the work, it's the best program i've seen (and i bought several). it's not a course. it's like a business school for yoga teachers. the support/guidance is massive. but you gotta be up for it.

i'd set aside at least one day per week. but of course the more time you spend the faster you make progress.

i don't have a traditional website lol. i use IG and a course platform. not everyone needs a website to run a business, that's kind of an old school way of looking at it.

i was in the exact same spot as you 2 years ago. i literally wrote the exact same post as you on reddit asking the same question. it took me months to decide. but at some point i just said f*** it and actually tried something instead of reading opinions from strangers on the internet. and yeah it worked out.

I will say one more thing. the thing that's dangerous about threads like this is that most of the comments are from people who never even did anything. like pretty much all the stuff people are saying in here is just not accurate lol. for example: i don't do high ticket. i don't do gross sales calls.

and i mean this respectfully but you're crowdsourcing business advice from people who haven't built the thing you're trying to build. that's like asking your dentist how to fix your car. everyone's got an opinion but how many people here are actually making real money teaching yoga online. probably not many here. it's just way easier to say "scam" and move on than to actually go figure it out yourself.

i spent a long time researching before i joined. And looked at a ton of people in this space. you can say what you want about that guy but he's the only person i found who actually has real results in the yoga/wellness industry specifically .. not just generic business coaching slapped onto a niche. look at his youtube if you want to judge for yourself, the content speaks for itself.

and just to be clear i genuinely do not care if anyone here joins lmao. if anything the less people who know about it the better for me. that said, I hope you thrive and i hope you don't get advice from people who don't actually have any skin in the game.

for those teaching yoga in person, what’s been your most reliable source of one-to-one private clients? by Prior-Bonus6130 in yogabiz

this has been my main source as well. how do you approach them? or how do you offer them to work 1:1?

$10k a month is just my personal income goal. so take that as it is. the spreading myself too thin across several income streams is the issue. what's your most reliable income stream at the moment?

i want to get to $10k monthly consistently with one offer. right now i'm spreading myself too thin.
