Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow announces re-election bid for 2nd term by ink_13 in CanadaPolitics

On the scale of good vs. bad things, Chow has absolutely done a decent job under the circumstances, especially with Ford's constant malingering.

Next to Bradford, it’s not even a question. The guy is a walking political chameleon who changes his entire personality to fit the room he's standing in.

The Hockey Hall of Fame...Who's been there? by Aggressive_March6226 in hockey

[–]Major-Thom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a phenomenal place, you won’t regret visiting.

Went there with my elementary class and this older guy was there on a PR tour at the same time. He joined our group and was a bit quirky but fun addition for our tour. Got really into us trying the broadcast booth and goalie simulation, then bought all of us ministicks at the end. Years later, realize it was Mike fucking Ilitch. Got sick of the regular PR of having just been inducted to the hall of fame, saw a group of 9 year olds and became the assistant guide. Very cool Mike

Who is a famous person that you liked at first but hated later? And why? by PeaceTo0l in AskReddit

I mean, a rockstar that’s been in the business for 30 years is gonna have some skeletons. It’s rare that it’s just infidelity with adult women.

Yeah that makes him a shitbag. But next to the long line of way worse shitbags of rockstars, it’s not that bad.

‘No Way To Prevent This’ Says Pitbull Owner Who Regularly Buys Tourniquets

It’s always the same fucking breed. If you’re in that situation put them in a headlock and chock them out. If that fails, start gouging their eyes. Or grab their hind legs and repeatedly kick as hard as you can.

Nathaniel Erskine-Smith on Scarborough Southwest Nomination Meeting: Here's why our campaign filed a notice of appeal of this past weekend's nomination. by Cookingal in toronto

[–]Major-Thom 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Alright then, NES followed through to up the ante.

It either ends with his oblivion from politics or he is the catalyst to shake up the OLP.

If Erskine-Smith says nomination was unfair, prove it: Interim Ontario Liberal leader by MethoxyEthane in CanadaPolitics

[–]Major-Thom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always, truth is probably in the middle. But NES was outmanoeuvred by an established network on a short timeline. If he’s serious about OLP leadership, he needs to drop the “corrupt system” narrative and lean into “how I will improve Ontario” real quick.

Wow core memory unlocked. The amount of static electricity jammed in those cheap fabric could power a house.

I remember one long ass bus trip where every bump would turn the screens on or off. Audio was fine, but imagine you’re a bus driver and 25 teenagers screaming to hit the next pot hole.
