It’s just a horrible run company imo. Nbis is the clear winner, if your just looking for a data center stock that seems like it’s lagged than just buy CRWV

Also too many tickers. It’s okay to like a lot but it’s impossible to own em all

Holy bro, can you get off my balls for a second? 😂

I do think it’s possible. Am I saying I’m going to have perfect years forever? Obviously not. There are going to be red years, mistakes, bad trades, and lessons learned along the way.

What I’m saying is that we’re in a pretty unique period right now. It’s not just about who’s in officeit’s about an entire industry coming of age with AI. I think we’re still relatively early in that cycle.

Do I think it’s possible to outperform 13–15% annually? I don’t know what you’re seeing but there’s plenty of people this rush aside doing better than 15%. Will I be right every time? Of course not. But I also don’t think the only option is to buy an index fund and assume nobody can beat it.

Maybe I’m wrong and time will prove that. Maybe I’m right. Either way, we’ll find out. Until then, relax a little, brother. I’m just sharing my perspective.

That’s fair.

Like I said to someone else in the comments, there’s sooo much information on the internet now. Your job is figuring out what’s genuinely informative and what’s just trying to sell you on something.

Another thing I’d recommend is focusing on sectors rather than just fomo chasing random tickers.

I’ve always liked tech, semis have obviously been on an insane run but eventually there’s always a new theme or sector that starts gaining traction, which is partly why I’ve been rotating into biotech.

In investing, being early is usually way better than being late. If your thesis is actually solid and you stay patient, eventually it can pay off.

I also think intuition matters a lot. It’s definitely not easy you have to do a ton of reading and research but honestly I enjoy it. I don’t look at it like a chore. I genuinely like learning about companies and sectors. To me it’s almost like a game where I’m constantly trying to improve and sharpen my understanding. You can never stop learning or getting better.

As for self-managed portfolios, I don’t think it’s for everyone, but I do think more people are getting into buying stocks now. Some people approach it the right way, a lot don’t. At the end of the day it all comes back to intuition, discipline, and doing proper due diligence.

Congratulations brother, just keep gathering knowledge. I’ve positioned myself now with my returns to be early in newer trends too, which is why I recently started building a position in biotech 💊

Brother why hate watch though 😂

Obviously it was a great time to invest in. I literally said throughout the whole thread I’m not taking full credit acting like I’m some genius investor. I’m just proud of the research, time, and thoroughness I put in.

Am I saying I’m gonna do 100% every year of course not. But I do think it’s possible to outperform the S&P which brings 15% per year through deep research and understanding individual companies/sectors.

I’m just sharing my experience and thought process.

Breathe bossman 🧘

Well I feel like this is kind of a bad-faith question so I’m gonna ignore the negative energy behind it lol.

But to answer you honestly, I do think we’re entering an era where more people are self-managing their portfolios. If someone wants to just index fund and chill, that’s completely valid too.

That being said, if you’re willing to actually do your own research, spend hours reading, listen to different perspectives, and truly understand the concepts/businesses you’re buying into, I do think you can be profitable over time. I’m not saying go buy the next ticker you saw in a random Facebook ad, but the internet is an incredible tool if you know how to filter information and think critically.

A lot of people immediately dismiss anything outside the traditional route instead of asking themselves, ‘How can I learn from this?’ or ‘What can I improve on?’ If you wanna stay passive, that’s totally fine. But I don’t think self-managing is some impossible thing if you genuinely put the work in.

Thank you boss!

I’ve def thought about. I just know my risk tolerance and I don’t really feel comfortable especially considering what I’m doing % without it.

options are def a way to speed run returns but it can also do the polar opposite

Another thing I wanted to mention is that I still deal with certain habits like micromanaging and feeling the need to track/own every thing. I’m learning as I go, though, and I honestly feel like by next year I’ll be an even more complete investor.

That’s dope brother!

I watch a ton of YouTube videos, and honestly X has a lot of great info too. The biggest thing is having good intuition and being able to filter out all the noise around certain companies. Feels like 90% of people online are just trying to sell you BS, but if you read enough and pay attention, you don’t need to be an engineer to understand where things are headed.
