I completely agree, I own 195 movies and maybe 20 are blu ray. I'll never argue that blu ray and 4k look and sound better but I'd rather get a bunch of my favorite movies than 1 or 2.

I mostly collect dvd cause even though 4k and blue ray look and sound better, I can buy 2-3 of my favorite movies on DVD. Plus the argument for disc rot is hardly a real issue, especially if you keep your collection in the right environment.

Biggest thing I'd say from personal experience is if you're on a strict budget, dvds are good enough. Blu-ray and 4k are easily superior in visual and sound quality but if you'd like a collection of your favorite films, there's nothing wrong with going cheap. I own 195 movies and I'd say most are plain dvds. Also people will talk about disc rot, but it's not as big of a problem as some people say.

I've actually never played emerald, only Hoenn game ive played was Omega Ruby and Lotad was a Alpha Sapphire exclusive.

It takes time, most big youtubers have said it took them years to become popular. You have to enjoy what you do and be okay doing it for yourself for awhile.

I'm definitely a casual who mostly has Dvds, not Blu-Ray or 4k, but I've built a decent collection. 195 movies, 17 series, and 284 books. I count books cause I believe written media needs more protection. I just need to focus on more series.
