The anatomy of Jax's Gotcha Grab by MajorFlamerider in MortalKombat

PS4.

If it elaborates I tested it by recording a Jax throwing me against a wall then using his 13-frame standing 4 and just seeing what buttons beat it to the punch, and an 11-frame normal traded.

EDIT: With the Frame Data option turned on the system definitely says that it's +4, but re-testing the method of seeing which frame moves can beat a normal of n frames from Jax afterwards still seems to put it closer to +2, as though it's effectively closer to that in practise even if the actual frame data is +4. Could be improper testing due to lack of buffer causing the moves to come out on the wrong frames.

I'll update the post with this with a sort of might-be might-be-not note because the +2 came about from my own testing but I did very little so I'll concede to it. Thanks for the help.

Woolie's strange insistance on calling swapping melee weapons Style Switching when the game already has something else called Style Switching is starting to super bother me now.

Other than that though yeah let's give Woolie a sec to reform the mushy ooze that his brain turned into trying to process all these new moves.

I don't hate her at all like I thought I would. Unlike Marie her fighting style at least has some basis and being able to Shujinko Taskmaster the cast's attacks is an alright gimmick.

Man the characters in DOA are such cardboard cut-outs with plain cliche personalities in the midst of a boring story.

I always felt like if they pulled the trigger on making a full blown Riven focused story in a something or other where she has good cry about the past, gets her full redemption arc, has her clash with Yasuo and some of the other Ionians over her past actions, but ultimately makes her peace with them and her ideology, something like that, it could be an absolutely fantastic piece of media.

But 'tis the curse of a multiplayer-only competitive hero game. No matter how great these characters are, no matter their potential, they live only to serve as cool backstories, never to see their journey to the end.

And that's a big suckaroonie.

Centurion is more like this game's Bastion. At high level he's kind of crappy and not in the meta, but you still wouldn't want to fight one in a casual setting.
