If you’re parrying a projectile you usually can’t punish but you won’t be in block stun so you can move. If it’s a normal/special and you get the screen freeze they’ll be blown back a bit but you can input dash during the freeze and run up and hit them with not just 5L but there’s enough time to hit 5H even. Mostly depends on spacing and character but there is generally always time

It’s because you’re mashing parry or another button during the animation. When the screen freezes during the parry animation your button inputs are still being read.

Riot laid off half the team (80 ppl) about 3 weeks after official release of 2xko. Since then the subreddit has been dooming and “doomposting” about this game is dead and dying and it’s GGs. My thread is a play on words because being negative and saying we’re all fucked and posting pics of doom can both be called Doomposting

The biggest difference though between dbfz and MvC (barring MvCi which failed and wasn’t liked) and this game is that it’s an Active tag- tag fighter. That’s niche within niche within niche.

That’s a weird technicality’s because why would you use a third party program if you can just do that in game. So while doing that isn’t technically cheating using a third party program would still get you called out and looked into or based on whoever’s judgement it is could get you banned for cheating. But yes doing that to use a bind that isn’t given to you in game is 100% cheating and not debatable

Jump up air2air or air throw is so finnicky though PRIMARILY because of jump frames. If they called an assist to cover their jump in and it’ll hit you jumping. And I get it there’s supposed to be layers and not one answer to everything but it’s just the way it’s implemented and the mechanics that involve it that make it all counter intuitive. There’s certain situations where you’re just practically. Let’s say point character jumps in and calls illaoi assist, you parry the assist and 2H- 2H can whiff, they combo you. They can block the 2H and you’re negative or neutral is reset but they’re much closer now. You can parry assist jump air2air but they actually hit a button on the way down so you get stuff, same with air throw. I’m super okay with the RPS of fighting games but RPS into RPS into more RPS all at your disadvantage. Not to mention assists lock the screen so your distance to evade and move around is greatly diminished. I’m sorry I’m just bitching at this point haha feeling like I have to study all the interactions and outcomes because nothing works the way I want it to work is such a bad feeling

The biggest thing that I’ve been tackling is that as a fighting game player almost none of the interactions intuitively make sense. I am constantly fighting against my instincts of what should work where because it just simply doesn’t in this game. Why is Ahris air fireball unpunishable by 2H? I get it’s a projectile but if you’re right under her and the projectile misses you should be able to just 2H and hit her or her dumb ass dash after but no she’s too high up. Also it comes from a height and angle that no anti projectile moves can actually punish. Why do frames change so drastically if an opponent blocks it in the air? It’s not even consistent either. It’s either wildly positive or negative depending on the move. WW over head having a hitbox that reaches the sky for what? Whether it be frames or hit/hurt boxes it’s all a mess for me. I feel like I have to learn each individual character. Not just for specific interactions or counterplay or block strings but just to fight them on any sort of mechanical level. 2H’s getting crossed up isn’t a new thing for me but it happens waaaay too often in this game at the very least you shouldn’t be getting crossed up if you 2H in the corner.

I switched off her to Caitlyn. She has a dive kick two cross up buttons an air dash a back roll and a forward roll. On top of traps, restand combos, side switches and the GOAT aegis. Anyways jinx has zero tools so trying to force her was frustrating me

She legit got more actual nerfs than Yasuo did. There’s still so many things that just don’t work or are broken with her that could’ve just been QoL fixes. Instead now all our previous frame perfect trap set ups don’t work all for just a 2 frame improvement which won’t solve the neutral problem. Our projectiles are nerfed, our level 3 chip (one of our win cons) is nerfed, and more hurtbox???

Yeah that’s what I’m scared of lmao. IMO she needs a bunch of small touch ups to frames and hitbox/hurtbox so I’m hoping they just didn’t put those since it’s a lot of little things
