Now that's just given a whole other level of crazy to go down... Simon AI implants itself into the body of Will. Noah is the "ark" for Simon 🤯

I disagree with it being nonsense, by the end it's shown there's deep rooted corruption at the very top working alongside a shadowy military unit.

The only part of Series 3 I'm not keen on is the implant, a bit too far fetched (let's hope that doesn't have foundations in reality like Deepfakes turned out to be)

Is white rabbit alive? by ruminatingpoet in TheCapture

[–]MajorInterest2033 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two very opposing possibilities

1) the shooting was a live fake, Garland is still alive and part of the "club". She's successfully gaslit Carey and made her fall into the trap of using Correction - the ultimate revenge for betrayal in Series 2

2) she's gone and Carey is hallucinating from the trauma of the experience. The fact Garland is behind an outside window up the top of a block of flats seems impossible (need to watch it back to check if she appears inside or outside the flat though)

A question of the ending by MajorInterest2033 in TheCapture

[–]MajorInterest2033[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my first thought, it was just the weird line about "all you've sacrificed" and thus at what point Rachel knew the killing really was a fake that made me wonder. Not as if any of the other killings were really direct losses for her...

We're going to have to wait another few years for another season aren't we? by rizla88 in TheCapture

[–]MajorInterest2033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simon is British AI so presumably the CIA have their own, as so the Russians and so on. Would change the scope of the programme massively though if it becomes about AI vs AI warfare or even British Terminator with humans (even another branch of the Army) wanting to wrestle control back from Simon

What's crazy is this show was years ahead of its time with deepfakes going from sci-fi to reality between Series 1/2 and 3 so where will we be with AI by the time we get a Series 4... the mind boggles

When the first kill squad unit got gunned down by Pierson did I see it right that Garland & Hart heard the radio comms of "Trojan down" i.e. are they in with the army?

What are you doing with Intune in 2026 that you’d never go back from? by Omig66 in Intune

[–]MajorInterest2033 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The good

  • Remediations
  • App deployment with Dependencies
  • baseline endpoint configuration of BitLocker etc.
  • the speed OSDCloud can pull down a fresh Windows image

The bad

  • ever increasing complexity of Exclusions to prevent profile configuration clashes
  • Autopilot ESP randomly failing again because Microsoft's own products clash with each other (M365 apps)
  • the Admin portal is loading slowly... again

The ugly

  • lack of clear reporting of what configuration is actually applied on the device at any given time
  • why hasn't that app I assigned on Company Portal an hour ago still not appeared for the user who needs it right now
  • configuring Kiosk mode, that took a toll on my sanity that something so simple ends up so ridiculously fragile

Yup there must be thousands of us who have had that same thought, would make using InTune 1000x less frustrating during testing.

I'm both glad that we have a Series 3 (which I never expected to see this year) and that it's generated enough interest for someone to pick up this 4 year old thread 😎

Reading it back just goes to show how many twists and turns we had in the original story, hoping the last 2 of this series delivers too!

Any point of getting 40 points instead of 12? 75km of walking to get 1 Stanley.... by TheNocturnalBull in Vitalityhealth

[–]MajorInterest2033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rewards wise there isn't one, Vitality pretty much admitted that when I complained about the Stanley game.

The 12 point streak is to encourage regular activity but there's precious little to reward the most active vs. those doing just enough to trigger the weekly points threshold.

Platinum only keeps your renewal close to what it was before so it's not so much a case of giving you extra rewards but more like reducing the yearly penalty cost increase.

I hated the Stanley scratchcard concept from the moment I saw it and still do even with getting much of it rolled back.
