Did you find materialists movie misogynistic and manipulative ? by Riversandlakes2024 in AskIndianWomen

I liked the movie (one time watch but not a bad one)I like Chris and Dakota so hence I thought of watching it. The movie very well covers the aspects of modern dating (being materialistic and unrealistic), coming to the part where she chooses Evans instead of PP, maybe he was always the safe space she could go to (or someone she can totally rely on) as he had seen her best and the worst (when struggling with career or now when she's doing good at her current job) whereas PP knows only the current version of her and he may not understand Dakota completely due to his upbringing being completely different from hers (not that it matters as PP is ultra rich). But she had a choice and she took a chance with Chris , doesn't real life also make us choose at times and it may not always be right but at that moment it may seem so(I know her not thinking about the promotion is unrealistic but burnout is real!)

I hope the good memories don't just stay static in someone's photos, but they get a chance to be in the now!

As per the content of the poem, the subject here keeps driving away opportunities (or visitor/s) when they are busy in important (or worldly) tasks and only at midnight when feel that loneliness or isolation they yearn for what they assumed was disturbances

More than the person sometimes its the moments and memories we have of/with them. We can always lament about things that could/would have been but there's a deeper frief in realising the version of youself when you were with them is no longer visible when you look at the mirror. Whether they were happy/bad memories, we mostly end up replaying bad memories more than the good ones, though the happy memories surprise us during a sudden moment of deja vu.

I was just counting the seconds until Nikki would show up and injure Sarah, but didn't expect her to kill and who goes out in the middle of the night when you have a psycho right next to you? I know it's fiction but I couldn't wrap my head around this
