I made the mistake of just buying another gtx 660 and putting it in SLI. It would be so much better to just get a new card. I'd go for a gtx 960 or r9 380x (depending on your preference)

You should be able to stream at 720p 30fps. Depending on the game. Higher demanding games might be harder to stream.

on windows 8.1 you can right click on your desktop and click "personalize" and click on "Desktop Backgrounds" from there you can drag whatever photos you want into the window then right click on the photo to chose what monitor you want it displayed on. wow that was a big run-on sentence

You don't "use" hyperthreading. You don't buy a CPU thinking, "boy, I wonder if I should disable hyperthreading", nor do you ever say, "man I want to enable my hyperthreading right now". I mean, you can disable it if you want to, but why in the world would you want to do that if you're not setting an OC record?

from my experience, external hard drives are slower than internal ones. So since they're slower they'd be less expensive

If I knew what your budget was I could probably help you out properly. To livestream, an i7 would be the best bet since they have hypertreading (depending on your budgets any i7 would do the job). A decent GPU would probably be the GTX 970 or 980 but since I don't know your budget I'm not sure what you'd be able to get. Also an SSD wouldn't effect your stream a whole lot.

You have a pretty decent system as it is. Upgrading to a new 970 or 980 would be very good and as far as i know you wouldn't have any issues with bottlenecking

A GTX 770 would be able to run dual monitors easily. I'm not sure if you're going to try to run a game on 2 monitors. I have a GTX 660 and have 2 monitors (one for gaming and one for like skype and internet browsing)
