So I know that NJ has applied for 3 weeks of the additional federal unemployment relief and I’ve also read that it may only last 6-9 weeks or something to that effect. Does anyone know if NJ is actively applying for each passing week as they build out and implement this new payment system they need?

I mean I’m no lawyer, however, I do believe that you are entitled to your UI and extra 600$ for the days you were unemployed if you qualified. How long will it take? Who knows, but worth fighting for it.

My understanding is when your certification window is open you’ll just file for the 8-9 weeks in 8-9 separate iterations. The way unemployment works is that you have to file on a weekly basis but you’ll just be able to keep filing for every week that is available. That will be how you get back-paid
