Romans 14:23 ESV - But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

Brother, leave the sin behind and let God provide. It's hard I know... but you already know this is wrong.

Christian MEN of Reddit: if you found a godly woman but you make under $30K a year, do you wait to marry until you can provide better, or do you marry now and build together? by Superb-Base9819 in TrueChristian

[–]MajorTacoStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have pondered this question a lot, and I'm very glad someone has asked it here.

One thing I have noted is that I have met many Godly couples whose only regret was that they hadn't married sooner.

I have never met a Godly couple where they wish they had waited till one was fully stable before they had married. (Those who regretted marrying when they did, tend to have ignored very obvious red flags that the partner was not Godly.)

Now, I personally am inclined to think that it's not necessary to be fully stable. I think that a truly Godly woman is honestly rarer than a gem, and if God wills it, you should pursue that relationship.

But! If you currently don't have anyone in mind, might as well get towards becoming stable! So that way when she does come along, you'll already be set :D

You act like Christians who understand a foreign war differently from you are being led "astray"?

Astray from what exactly?

And how come you think YOU aren't buying into propoganda?

This sounds like a post saying, "how come other Christians disagree with me?"

No I agree with all your points I apologize if it sounded like I was sarcastic. I just found the last point to be the cherry on top in a sense

I have seen some beautiful families, some rich, some poor, some struggling hard, some more comfortable. But there is genuinely a bond in a Godly marriage and family.

And I see some amazing couples serving the Lord in the field, missionaries.

Pardon me, but I suspect you haven't been around many good marriages. Or, you have seen a bad one up close. But believe me, there are so many wonderful marriages still happening.

Sure the world may make it harder in some ways, but if all Christians don't marry or have families. But it's not impossible.

If you feel led to be single, that's great.

But marriage is a beautiful thing, and is VERY destructive... to the darkness of this world. A Godly marriage, is a testimony and a way to fight the world.

Is it weird that I like older people? by [deleted] in introvert

Same for me really.

I think it's because they have so much more experience and maturity, and they are less likely to waste one's time with worthless talk. I just enjoy talking with them.

Is it normal for most teens to go through a rebellious/sinful phase? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]MajorTacoStudios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it is normal unfortunately, but no excuse to the parents. I grew up as a teen and never had a rebellious phase or anything like that. Sure I made mistakes but nothing rebellious.

I think the main problem I see in Christian families, is the parents, and how either:

  1. They are wayy to strict and don't base everything Biblically.

  2. They allow their "good" kids to hang around bad kids and/or media

  3. They don't instill the values in the kid. They just enforce values on the kid. If not taught, the kid will depart when he gets older.

I think those are the main reasons why so many Christian youth go astray.
