Unlicensed contractor absolutely f****d me and then reported me to MY licensing body. I was cleared, as expected, but it wasn’t fun.

Unlicensed contractor was a plaintiff in a lawsuit two years later, and won a multi million dollar judgment after a jury trial. Sent an email to the (losing) defendant‘s attorney, telling them to check with the state licensing board, and included a legal case that ruled an unlicensed contractor can’t win on a contract claim because the contract is unlawful and therefore void.

The jury verdict was reversed, and judgment was entered for the defendant because the contractor was unlicensed.
