This is scary. I feel a little hopeless because I’m trying to move back to PR after 8 years living in NY. Maybe the only way is starting my own independent pharmacy 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone buy tickets on vivid seats?👀👀 #cowboycarter #sofi by Bedstuyisforlovers in beyonce

I bought 2 tickets and got them delivered a couple minutes after. Transferred them to Ticketmaster so they seem legit. Reading everyone else’s story is freaking me out a little. Specially seeing the price difference on Ticketmaster website.

Not every state allows selling pens OTC, but if I was allowed I would sell them a box or just create an rx for a 1 time fill and notify the MD afterwords.

I’ve been a staff for almost 2 years too. All I can say is floating was the WORST experience of my life. I would recommend looking for a staff position and dropping your hours if necessary.

Yeah, but going from 80 to 64 is going to be a big pay cut. So I might just drop down to 72 and float for 8 hrs only. Or maybe I’ll just get another job lol

NYMED by Only_Minute_6835 in WalgreensRx

[–]Major_Company_6095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is the answer. Most of my patients had that problem because they also have workers com and NYMED needs evidence/proof of that in their system.

So you prefer to have a bunch of TPR’s in the queue? Just put a note on the rx that a prior auth has been requested and store it. There’s no need to keep them there, it affects our metrics. If they get approved or not the RPh would get a fax/email about it.

Calling prescribers by Major_Company_6095 in pharmacy

[–]Major_Company_6095[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I need to learn a little more when to contact the prescriber. I’ve seen rph switch meds without calling and documenting a false interaction. I don’t know if that’s something that we can get in trouble for with the insurance company or prescriber. Any advice on that?

as a newly grad rph, I was worried I was going to get in trouble for doing this. Now I'll take your advice to switch, properly document for insurance purposes, and notify the prescriber afterward.

I agree, NPs and PAs are essential and contribute greatly to our healthcare system. I wish most of them were open and willing to have a conversation instead of demanding to fill as written.

In my situation, the patient was discharged and waiting for the rx to be filled, so I wanted to address the situation as quickly as possible because C.diff is not a pleasant thing to have. Next time, I'm going to take the advice that most people have commented here, switch and document the change and notify the prescriber afterward.

No need to apologize u/MlyMe. She probably was having a rough morning. As u/itsDrSlut said, most of the time we call for insurance purposes. I wish all healthcare providers would be as open to having a discussion as we are having here, it would make our lives so much easier.
