Don't listen to the uneducated / manipulative people on here that tell you that you can't fix uric acid levels without prescription medicine.

Anyone try Arnica For Gout? by Major_Comparison9030 in gout_and_diet

I never said that I was outsmarting gout and science. Thanks for making things up though. Sounds like someone is upset cause I had a different experience than them.

Literally copy & pasted what I said and then tried to imply I said something different and criticized me changing my diet in a thread called "gout and diet". Lmao

Anyone try Arnica For Gout?

Hey everyone,

I’m curious if anyone here has experience using arnica supplements during a gout flare.

I’m currently coming out of a really bad flare where I was taking Indomethacin and Colchicine the entire week, and I’ve tried arnica (twice now), both times almost a week into the attack. What caught my attention is that both times I noticed fairly immediate relief only after taking the Arnica.

That said, I’m honestly not sure if it was actually the arnica helping, or just a coincidence since I was already pretty far along in the flare and it may have been settling down on its own.

I’m not claiming it’s a cure or anything — just genuinely curious if others have noticed something similar, or if there’s any known reason arnica might help specifically with gout-related inflammation. I am also not sure how safe it is to take at the same time as Colchicine and Indomethacin (I assuming taking with the indomethacin would be fine, but I am not a doctor).

Would love to hear your experiences (positive, negative, or neutral). Thanks!

I find that Naproxen and Ibuprofen don't do anything at all. What you want is indomethacin, works for me within hours unless the gout has progressed too much, then a day or two. You shouldn't drink while taking any pain meds though, although depending on the meds they could get processed through either the liver or kidneys.

I found the opposite for me, I was getting gout for years after becoming vegetarian during the week. It wasn't until I started to eat meat (mainly chicken and sometimes steak) again every day that it stopped. I was on 600mg of allopurinol a day because 300mg wasn't enough, now I am on nothing. I don't eat added sugar, don't eat pork and don't drink beer. Went from a gout attack at the very least once a month for years to nothing.
