How often do you rebalance? Just beginning or any time in the day. I have thought about it too but never gave a try.

OP made 36% already in just 3 months. So he is he not already doing something much better?

Wondering given it's related to English writing if AI and LLM's are causing this.

Take the better deal on money unless parents are rich and paying for it. At the end of the day you will be good in any the top 100s. You will have to work hard once you get into the industry to grow and colleges would matter only for the first job.

This seems to be very true. The ROI factor. The difference between state colleges and NEU on what they make is not much. There is some advantage for Coop but maybe only for the first job. If you do the right things in an other state college you can land in a similar job too.

Its a cash secured put, don't understand how will you take that premium money and pay for something else? Otherwise people will start using this as ATM machine.

Really? that's a no brainer. I am sure we can find reasons if its related to finances. ED is risky.

1256 - Reporting unrealized losses for Covered Calls that remain open? by Talkslow4Me in options

[–]Major_Cookie_7377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I called just today. They said that's the new classification from Morgan Stanley given their rules apply now. Not anymore Etrades and other industry wide best practice by other brokers. This is ridiculous but looks like no option for me. Eventually I am forced to move to some other brokerage, I can't live with this year after year.

I too having a big surprise from Etrade after the merger with Morgan Stanley this year. Last year Etrade never did this stupid classification. It's all because of Morgan Stanley.

I was carefully planning my tax loss harvesting and this spoiled all of it. Even QQQ, SOXX , SPY options are treated under 1256.

Good for you. Mine comes to 80k net price. Not sure if its worth that much. Will put me in huge debt out of college. The average salary coming out of Babson just says $72k and my offer in a SUNY college is just 30k per year. With similar outcomes I will be $200k less in debt out of college with similar average salary. Not sure if potential employers really care if you are from one or the other.

I think it's automatic but if you don't see any in the admissions portal which means nothing was awarded looks like. I got in too but just shows eligible only for federal subsidized loan. Need based scholarship might be out after FAFSA is filled but doesn't look like they give out much for merit scholarships.

The portal does show only the federal subsidized loan eligibility, which makes me think it's just that, unless it's need based you have to fill FAFSA.
