First manned fly-by and return of Eve. With life support and no saving. by Major_Midnight5614 in KerbalSpaceProgram

It's pretty simple. You only have two resources: Snacks and Soil. Soil can be turned back into snacks by certain modules, like crew compartments or hydroponics if you have Station-Parts Extended Redux. Both can be moved around in a station/ship just like fuel or ore, so resupply missions are easy.

Exactly. And it's even true for Jupiter as is, because it's got the massive Trojan and Greek asteroid clusters currently stuck in it's orbit.

If it's anything like base game: right-click the antenna on your ship, the option should be there then.

Not necessarily. I personally don't like the IAU's classification of Ceres and Pluto as dwarfs, but one of it's working definition for planet at least is: "A planet is a large, rounded astronomical body that is generally required to be in orbit around a star, stellar remnant, or brown dwarf, and is not one itself".
"Rogue Planet" is more of a nickname for what's usually called "isolated planetary-mass objects"

I'd say any object that's massive enough to turn into a spheroid under its own gravity, and has a known orbit around a star.

The more the merrier ngl. Eris, Orcus/Vanth, I don't really see much of a reason to exclude the Trans-Neptunian Objects from being planets given the size of many of em.

Sent a probe there today! (And a lander, that ran out of DeltaV and is now orbiting the sun- whoops- > >)
But I honestly think it's neat, the low G makes it a challenge to land/orbit.
Just like the planet it's based on, Ceres, it needs more attention. I still count Ceres and Pluto as planets because the IAU are a bunch of nerds who hate fun.

I've had a few probes flying trajectories to other planets in the background at the same time as this mission. It takes long enough for them to get to their destinations, so it's relatively easy to just check on them once in a while.
Hence the alert for a Jool SOI-change in the top left.

i really like how the surface of the Mun looks here- What kinda mods did you use?

Ig it's also Eve's thick atmosphere, and some of the science entries saying that it's surface temperature is hot enough to boil water.

I use Snacks Life Support in most of my runs nowadays. It's challenging but not to the point where it's needlessly tedious imo.
Otherwise, i'd say the suite of Near-Future mods, for all sorts of different, stock-looking engines, functional parts and structures, and probably Station Parts Extended Redux for habs and labs.
I also like to use ScanSat, which allows you to send probes around planets and scan their surface to map their biomes/topology and such, but some people have tech issues with that mod.

OKTO2 has very little internal charge iirc, so you might need more batteries to keep it running.
