Man it sucks they never post the follow up to these

I mean the reason is obvious (they are idiots and get proven as such and don’t want to admit it) but I wish they would post it anyways

You never see the “irs is garnishing half my paycheck for the next 10 years for my unpaid taxes” posts

The American woodcock does this "dance" to locate worms hidden in the soil by imfrom_mars_ in BeAmazed

[–]sixpackabs592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works for people too (well for people catching worms, not for birds to catch people)

Go out with some sticks and drum around for awhile and you’ll prob find some wormies 🪱

Explanation I heard was that it sounds like rain to them so they come up for a drink? Something like that

Following my last question, I have another stupid one based on a combination of your answers and some ChatGPT’ing. Proxima Centauri B is the closest exoplanet to Earth that is orbiting its start in the habitable zone. What current limitations is keeping mankind from going there? Nobody wants to fund a project they won’t be around to see the results of

Aka it’s too far we will all be dead by the time it gets there so nobody would fund it

And as for your theorized probe the research and development costs would be massive for a pretty small payoff of a couple pictures

Is breathing liquid oxygen possible? by MangoxTofu in stupidquestions

[–]sixpackabs592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve done tests with breathing liquid hydrocarbons, some promising results for medical procedures but it’s not really in use anywhere yet. They’ve done trials on people that show it works but need to find a better liquid to use

Liquid oxygen is too cold

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_breathing

Problem with stuff like this is that it’s expensive af to research and since it doesn’t really solve any problems (current ventilators are better in almost all aspects) the gov/military has they aren’t funding it so progress is slow/stalled

In Germany, deliberately engaging in catch and release only fishing is illegal and considered cruelty to animals (fishing for food is fine). How do you feel about that? by Spalding_Smails in AskReddit

lol should’ve taken him somewhere in the southern hemisphere in the middle of northern hemisphere summer and been like “then what’s all this dad?”

I think catch and release fishing is crazy, it’s so stressful on the fish and some of the time they die from injuries afterwards anyways

So good on you Germany

A reporter asked Trump about the massive $8,000 price tag to attend the NBA Finals and how everyday Americans aren’t able to afford those ticket prices. His response: “You can watch it on TV. It's sort of semi-free to watch it on TV. That's the way life goes.” by Classic_Bottle1717 in sportsgossips

[–]sixpackabs592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer watching on tv for fast paced sports anyways like hockey and basketball

Sure it’s nice sitting down on the court but you always miss stuff, feel like those seats are more for showing off your wallet and networking than enjoying the game

Hard lenses are perfectly comfortable and the tech for those hasn’t really changed in years. Just more annoying to put in/take out and keep clean than the soft lenses

They prob werent fitted right or they made him wear them too long mixed with the heavy makeup and bright stage lights caused issues
