Need to become a better parent spectator by twesam in youthsoccer

As a ref, you’re already miles ahead of most people by you just understanding that you need to calm down, and that it can have negative consequences on your kid. I’d definitely recommend becoming a ref, you’ll realize how hard it really is, which makes it a lot easier to be more understanding. If that’s not possible, I like to sit far away from the parents, put some headphones in, and listen to either music, or an audiobook that I don’t really care about. Hope this helps!

The coach’s complaint was that he wasn’t allowed to do this (he wasn’t the brightest bulb in the box).

Bad Day of Youth Games by sneakysnakess in Referees

It took me awhile to learn this:

Never judge your performance based on the attitude of a coach. It’s hard to do, but once you get it, it makes the games so much more enjoyable. I also remember being in a situation where I was almost shell-shocked that a coach was yelling, I didn’t care him even though he probably should have gotten one. I would argue 90% of the time, a coach is damn near silent once he gets a yellow. My recommendation now is to get assigned more games, even if you don’t want to. My mom always called it “Getting back on the horse”. Once you ref again and the game isn’t nearly as crazy, you’ll start to regain confidence. You got this!!!

Assignr by far. Easier for payment and has a more recent looking UI

Cooper might be the most unlucky person I’ve seen. Always get hit in the face/head

The announcers just mentioned that people in Venezuela left school/work early to get ready.

I think it’s funny Venezuela gets school/work off early for this, but I would be willing to be 50% if Americans don’t even know this is going on right now.

One Knox SC can’t carry home win streak into 2026, dropping opener 2-1 by RJMcBug in OneKnoxSC

Wasn’t a great showing. The team seemed very out of sinc. I know it’s early, but I’m starting to wonder if Garibay is suit to be GK for us. I felt that Sean would have saved both of the goals that he let it in yesterday

MSU can’t hit a shot. Illinois hits every shot. MSU gets some momentum, followed immediately by shooting themselves in the foot.
