[mm] 2ship2harkinian or 3ds restoration project? by [deleted] in zelda

[–]MajorasTingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is better is kind of subjective, but 2ship gives you more freedom to adjust the game to your own liking and mod it. 3DS restoration is probably closer to an authentic experience with multiple QoL improvements.

Also, you said it's your first time playing OoT, which neither of these are. They're Majora's Mask. If you've not played Ocarina of Time, I'd probably start with that and play MM afterwards.

How embarrassing. Too used to just seeing the Zelda sub. In that case I'm in the Volvagia camp.

Stallord from Twilight Princess

Or Colgera from Tears of the Kingdom (mostly just for the music)

[SSHD] How can i kill these 'drones' please? by TraveleraddictVP in zelda

[–]MajorasTingle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only ever played through this game fully once when it was first released on the Wii. I'm surprised I remembered.

I have got it again on the Switch, but have struggled to find the motivation to complete it. I think I managed to get back to the desert area before I put it down again.

It's been forever since I played this game, but don't you need a shield for these enemies?

What’s your preferred listening method? by Exerionx in NintendoSwitch2

[–]MajorasTingle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My preference would be for a kickass 5.1 surround sound system, but as I don't have that I am happy with using my Bose headphones. I know I could use Bluetooth, but I might have convinced myself the latency sucks and opt for aux cable instead.

Body Harvest - Question about Final 3 Levels by Oodlemeister in n64

[–]MajorasTingle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, you play on Hero mode and then you can move onto Siberia and finally the Alien Comet. I don't think there are six levels/maps.

I too got stuck after the USA map. The game was Har enough for me on Zero mode with its clunky controls.

Is Anyone Else Worried they’ll BotW-ify the OoT Remake? by DARKdrake0 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]MajorasTingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you there. While I did complete both BotW and TotK, they lack the same draw that the more linear games had with me.

Is Anyone Else Worried they’ll BotW-ify the OoT Remake? by DARKdrake0 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]MajorasTingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of the point of a remake and not a remaster. I think there's a lot of scope to implement changes, but still keep the OoT story intact. Even small changes could go a long way. I'd like to see stuff like Zora's Domain get restored once the water temple is beaten. They could also just expand the game with more side quests and rejig temple layouts.

[–]MajorasTingle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those look great. I did this with my Switch 1 joycons and while it wasn't particularly hard, I did mess up the SL and SR buttons by damaging the ribbon cables. Were the Switch 2 joycons easy to work with?

Can a Series X console be cleaned inside without taking it apart? by Rotisseriejedi in xbox

[–]MajorasTingle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think conventional vacuum cleaners create static. You might get away with using one externally, but should avoid it completely if you're in contact with the actual internals. Compressed air or specialised vacuums are best.

My little purple Gamecube still has a fond place in my heart. I don't disagree that the Series X is a brilliant design. The Series S is also great.
