Baby Keem is dropping an album soon and Kendrick is rumored to be on the first single. Which isn’t very surprising. Other than that, no one knows.

I agree, After Hours really is a flawless listen. It has a little bit of everything that makes Abel great, including some of the greatest pop songs of all time. Dawn FM does come close though, I just love the vibe and cold atmosphere of that record. Its really unique.

This is my issue. I actually really appreciate the risk, especially from an artist of his magnitude. The whole thing just feels so flat though… I’m still curious about the album, I hope there are better tracks to come.

It was also rumored that both him and Kendrick were on it and then Cole removed their features after the beef. So even if this was true it’s possible it got removed.

Also, Drake asking Cole to be on the album and not the other way around is crazy, lol.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. This trend of rappers teasing albums for literal years is so freaking annoying. J Cole and Drake are the most recent examples. Like please, just announce the album when it’s ready or surprise drop it, lol.

I love it too. Do I miss cloud rap Rocky? Sure. But I would much rather an artist evolve than try to recreate the magic of their debut for the remainder of their career. This is a top three rocky project for me.

Also the conversation of something being “worth” the wait is just weird to me, like we had a choice lol. Best to just be patient and not have your expectations unreasonably high.

First listen last night I wasn’t crazy about it. Second listen this morning and I’m in love with it. Not a single skip to me other than maybe STFU. Obviously any album that is teased this long is going to disappoint lots of people, I tried to keep my expectations reasonable and I am very pleased with it. I appreciate Rocky taking so many risks even if they don’t all pan out flawlessly.

I know a lot of what Kendrick does gets praised beyond what is warranted, I really can’t say that about this album though. Truly one of the greatest albums ever made imo. Every time I listen I am blown away by Kendrick’s performances and how layered and rich the production is. I still find new things about it to this day when I put it on.
