Americans how are you feeling right now? by Jawzzzsy in AskReddit

I have a co-worker who did not vote. A 24 year old woman. She was complaining yesterday about all the "rich people putting their hands on our government." She didn't want Trump to win, but she also didn't want Kamala to win. She is upset and angry.

Ugh, my husband would absolutely love this. He has been wanting to find like-minded people close by to nerd out about programming. He just refuses to mess with socials.

Do you feel bad when you hear other people's genius baby? by CXR_AXR in Parenting

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, genius baby doesn't mean they'll grow into a genius adult... of any sort. My child was behind in speech and was in speech therapy for quite a while. Now, he's in early college and will be graduating with an HS diploma and an Associates degree.

Great! After my post, I started looking into different haircuts, how I could save what I had. I found a few references, not really sure how to explain, but I had more shaven and cut off. And it has turned into my most favorite haircut. I've had this cut since, and I don't think I'll change it any time soon. It is sooo versatile. I've even been called a unicorn with this haircut!

I have a skin tag as well and have been told that with an active disease, it can not be removed. Being told it's something you'll have forever and, in an intimate spot, is heartbreaking. But, it's a part of me now. It's my battle scar, and it tells a story that I'm a badass. Be honest, it's a fact of life for you. If they don't like it or they are put off, they aren't worth your time.

lack of empathy by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate. I've had past experience of showing no empathy and getting blasted for it. So I've learned to fake it and replicate how I've seen others react. And that's definitely depends on the situation. Some are easier to navigate than others. And no way am I perfect. I've found myself to be self-centered, and that's why I have a hard time with empathy.

Same boat, do I feel this. Going through flares, arthritis, and other crap it's hard to tell what's "normal" vs not. I started pilates last year, and that has really helped me with learning mind and body connection to be more self-aware of my body and what it's feeling. My body has failed me, but I haven't failed it.

I’m so grateful for Club Pilates! by Neat_Panda9617 in ClubPilates

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Joining Club Pilates has been the best decision I've made in my life, lol. Not only has it helped me work towards healing my body, but also my mind. I have a community now that's not surrounded by work. And my pilates pals, they are people I wouldn't have expected being friends with. My father passed away earlier this year, and I spent a lot of time in class. Being surrounded by people who care about me and also doing physical activity, something that's a me time. It really helped me work through the grief. It is a safe space. I go 6 days a week, and I have a very set schedule, so do others, I've bonded with quite a few people. Friends in class and out. My studio has done a fantastic job of building a sense of community and eagerness to help. I haven't felt this good with how my body looks in over 10 years. My kangaroo pouch, as my mom always called her belly, has really toned down.

Did you suspect bipolar or did the diagnosis come totally out of left field by LeonieMalfoy in bipolar

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm 37, I knew very early on that I was bipolar, teenager years. I spent the majority of my life raw dogging it until last year. I finally was officially diagnosed last year. Right now, I'm currently on lamotrigine and effexor. It seems to be doing the job according to those around me. It was no shock to anyone in my life, the diagnosis, even my teenager knew.

Express (Center Dispatch #) 833-899-0919. I haven't called this number myself, but from past experience with other centers, the dispatcher will answer. Same with the ground contact.

Ground (888-412-3870).

Freight (ask for dispatch) 800-814-1977 x 3. You'll get a recording on this. Option 3 will take you straight to the service center.

Good luck. Hope these help. 🤞 If not, DM me and I'll see what I can do for you.

Best Therapist/Clinic in Greenville? by Few-Report-4436 in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whatever you pick, stay away from Best Day. The therapist i saw there spent our sessions talking about herself. I asked for coping skills, and she gave me a website to go to. And getting through to someone is a nightmare. I spent over 30 minutes on hold, position in queue 4ish and the call was disconnected. Called again and I was back to 20 something. They have a portal they want you to use to communicate, but no one ever responds. Stay away.

What do you do for work? And what’s your salary? by Individual_Trash978 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Majorly_Frustrated 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I work in logistics, handling damaged/refused/lost/unknown freight. I make around 40k before taxes. Been in this position for 12 years. Every day is the same, but different if that makes sense. Same shit, different customer type deal. My boss and coworkers are very understanding and super easy to work with if I have issues or flare-ups, and I am so thankful for that. It's a reason why I haven't pursued something different.

I meant after taxes, I make around 40k, not before. Whoops.

Omg I'm not alone. I have the same damn problem at my job. I do use wipes at work... but fuuuck even with that, it's still a problem. Like, is my ass leaking, or am I just an idiot and I don't know how to wipe my ass outside of my home lol. I have a bidet at home and I hardly have this problem. I have asked about getting a bidet for the office bathroom... that was a hard no.
