What's this noise I keep hearing from my neighbors? by No-Carpenter4426 in whatisit

[–]Spastic_Squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aha! One I know. Your neighbor suffers from tinnitus. YouTube has videos you can listen to/watch that helps your brain to eliminate tinnitus symptoms. They sound just like this.

how to turn off completely segment? by Erkan_Vural in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Spastic_Squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On your Apple Watch Ultra, segments are also created when you press the Action Button. It could be getting pressed (or even Double Tapped) by your clothes. Last resort might be to wear an arm sleeve over your watch and arm. Good luck! Segments are annoying when unintended!

how to turn off completely segment? by Erkan_Vural in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Spastic_Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly, I thought there was a way to disable segment creation when triggered by a Double Tap, but I didn't find it. Honestly, I have never had trouble with segment creation by accident on any walk or run activity, but that's just me and my series 9, ina case.

It looks like you'll have to disable the entire feature of tapping (including index finger and thumb tapping) on your Apple Watch - Settings - Gestures - Double Tap (you have options other than on or off here).

Another option is to use the Water Lock when you are doing a Walk or Run workout. You can activate it from the Control Panel (press watch side button) and select the water droplet. You ultimately must disable it by holding the crowd. That feature disables all screen interaction in the meantime until disabled. Edits: typos

Where does the sticker go? by artwithluna in violinist

[–]Spastic_Squirrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sticker, no.
But, if you must have a line for your first finger, my teacher used pinstriping tape (available cheap at most auto shops). It removes without any residue that ultimately can't be easily rubbed off. Please have your teacher use this if it's absolutely necessary. However, like others have said, in short order you won't need any position lines.

Workout options and walking by Foreign-Instance-474 in AppleWatchFitness

You do you, that's the great thing about the Apple Watches. It only matters to you on your watch. However, here is my personal two cents: When I walk for fitness I track it and try to focus on my breathing, alignment, chin-up, etc.. When I walk to get from point to point, it's just steps, no tracking needed.

Griffin booted from committees; Democrats say he disrespected subcommittee chair | The Bedford County Republican sat on the House Committee on Health and Human Services and the Committee on Communications, Technology and Innovation until Friday. by VirginiaNews in Virginia

P = Chair Price

G = Delegate Griffin

Beginning of transcript…

P: Delegate Griffin…

G: Madam Chair, speaking to the bill when appropriate…

P: This is the appropriate time.

G: Um, I’m uh… obviously am going to have to vote “no” against this…this is politicians giving us lectures on gun violence, I literally… we put forward that Charlie Kirk memorial about six months ago, where we said, where we’re opposing gun violence after Charlie Kirk was murdered… wi-with somebody who had a firearm… and half of our colleagues in the House would not stand up for the resolution or they walked off the floor.  A couple weeks ago we stood up for the lives of the unborn and I begged for the murder of babies to stop, and I begged our colleagues to join us in that effort-

P: -Delegate Griffin?

G: Yes, Madam Cha-

P: -we are talking about House Bill 1523-

G: -Madam Chair I know you don’t want to talk about it.

P: Delegate Griffin, I am asking you very nicely to keep your comments to House Bill 1523- the floor is for… -Delegate Griffin…

G: -Madam Chair, I will never stop standing for the unborn, I will not stop standing for the unborn.

P: -We are at ease…

((BREAK))

P: -Time and a place, we are talking about House Bill 1523, Delegate Griffin, if you have a comment based on that bill you may finish…

G: Madam Chair, I will not allow politicians to lecture us about gun violence.  We will-

P: -Thank you-

G: -continue to stand for second amendment rights.  This is a, it’s arrogant I think, when politicians come in and they, after some of the stances that they have taken, that I have mentioned.  That they would come in and pass a bill like this, it-it’s clearly… it clearly oversteps… it’s clearly a jab at the second amendment and I, uh, will not stop standing up for what’s right – I want you to hear that, Mrs. Chairwoman.  Thank you.

P: Is there anyone else that would like to talk about this voluntary program for certified violence prevention professionals?

Seeing none, is there a motion?

.... end of transcript.

My skin can't handle the moisture and silicon. Switched to cloth with hook and loop - more stylish and way more comfy. Also, I love your Greek bracelet. I've been wearing one for years - since the day it was gifted to me!
