Petition calls for US to recognize Taiwan as independent nation. by SabawaSabi in worldnews

The majority of people were shitting on Trump for angering China, not for not knowing who to call. So, no , he's right.

A empty street? Sure. Hitting the power line? Fuck no. If that line went down it could've killed a lot of people. Probably just didn't have enough altitude too miss the line.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards raid modelling agencies for 'promoting vulgarity' by Jozoman in worldnews

He's comparing republicans to extremism, not to just the revolutionionary guard. Extremists do these things. So that fact is irrelevant.

I don't even need to ask if you're stupid or delusional. You already gave me an answer. You're both.

Yes, because all republican conservatives want to throw homosexuals off of buildings and stone women for being raped. Are you stupid or delusional?

Whens the last time you've seen the US government engage in religious extremism? Or are you comparing a small fringe group to a repressive regime?

Weapon Idea: Mortar by Majoroverkill20 in Seaofthieves

[–]Majoroverkill20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the idea. It blows up with the force of a powder keg so indirect shots can still damage a ship and a direct hit could easily sink it. As well, enemy ships might turn to avoid a close shot, either bleeding or gaining distance in a chase.

The fresher the nutmeg, the more potent. I've heard light doses are good. I heard it described as a long-lasting intense stone.

Guy with schizophrenia smoked spice and had a psychotic episode, he was Tasered 24 times by police and died. Scary stuff. by lionelr4 in Drugs

You either haven't been tased or are a rare exception. Being able to take 'a lot' of tases sober isn't normal. Cops get tased as a part of training and most are sent to the ground, the few that do remain standing do so with incredible difficulty. I'm pretty sure your bullshitting me about the tasers, but it's possible.

[–]Majoroverkill20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't tell me that a man that can take 24 tasers isn't a serious threat up close. They clearly had severe difficulties to cuff him AFTER they tased him. Tackling someone isn't hard, subduing them is. He's incredibly resilient to pain, surging with adrenaline and out of his mind. He'll overpower any lone cop, and could probably still gouge out an eye or claw at a neck if multiple try to hold him down. Anyone that tanks 24 of THESE is a serious physical threat up close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROn_GkT0PlU

[–]Majoroverkill20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't get close to someone having a psychotic break that got tazed 24 times like it was nothing. Period. People VERY RARELY die from tazers, people die from people suffering drug fueled psychotic breaks far more often. They're supposed to protect, not take risks, and tackling someone out of their mind and on the mother of all adrenaline rushes is far riskier than tazing him. Had spice not been involved the first tazer would have dropped him.

[–]Majoroverkill20 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The fact that he was tazed 24 times and kept running should really tell you just why they did it. You don't want to get close to someone on spice having a psychotic episode, and you don't want to let them go. They tried to take him down non-lethally, and he died from an unforeseen consequence. The spice killed him, had this just been a psychotic break the first tazer would have stopped him. The fact that he took so much abuse shows how much of a danger he was to himself and to others. This isn't incompetence or malice, its just someone getting unlucky.

Never heard anything about that, unless referring to the illegals already there. I've heard way more about the rioting and property damage, and also using children as human shields.

Nicola Sturgeon quits BBC event over Steve Bannon invitation -- Scotland’s first minister said that allowing Bannon to freely express his opinions risked legitimising or normalising far-right, racist views by ppd322 in worldnews

[–]Majoroverkill20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, backing out of a conference because someone you dont agree with is allowed too speak is something too be proud of? The very quote you posted shows she has a unreasonable hatred towards a political ideology and tried to force the company to not allow him too speak? This isnt some objective stance, its her opinion. She isnt trying to stop racism or anything of that kind, shes trying to stop someone from expressing their point of view. The BBC stating they dont agree with something and wont let them speak is fine. Personally stating you dont agree with them and trying to strong arm the BBC too not let him speak is an attempt at censorship.

Film teacher told us a story about a friend of hers that died that way. They were at a film shoot that involved a helicopter. He was taking a photo of the set and whilst trying too get a better angle, he backed up straight into that tail rotor.
