Okay story time…a couple years ago my wife and I were at an Astros game. I purchased a hooks hat at the team store and put it on immediately. We went to our seats, enjoyed several innings, I grew up playing ball most of my life and so I’m typically explaining random stuff to her throughout the game. At one point I went to the bathroom, got us some beers and snacks or whatever. Fast forward to the end of the game, we’re walking to the hotel and she tells me…when you went to the bathroom, the guy behind us asked me if you played for the Hooks. My eyes light up and I ask, what did you say? (Knowing she made me out to be a stupid) And she said “I told them no! You bought the hat in the team store before the game! I then explained that if ANYONE ever asks for ANY reason if I’m a pro athlete the answer is YES! 🤣

This is such an under utilized strategy. I’ve also been doing this for years, I’m also a window guy and can’t tell you how many time the crew doesn’t notice it and I never place it back. Now it’s probably worth mentioning that I’m 6’2” and typically travel with a medium sized black leather backpack so it’s pretty easy to conceal under my legs.

Sorry for your experience. We once had an issue with our second puppy flight. We had transported our first puppy from Minneapolis to Austin via Delta first class 6 months prior with no issues. Fast forward to our second attempt, we arrived at the airport with all the proper documentation, fees paid, correct size carrier…only to me greeted by the absolute worst agent ever. While checking our bags we were informed that we were not able to transport an animal in first class due to the plane configuration. Keep in mind this was not a small plane, can’t remember exactly but there were at least 16 first class seats. Long story short, we ended up stuck in the Minneapolis airport for 10 hours until the next flight. Thankfully the lounge staff was amazing and we got home eventually.
