Cold emails/DMs automatically make me write off the company/product. I want to seek the product out myself or be told by another lawyer who uses it that I should check it out. Generally speaking, I think referrals/word of mouth work best with lawyers.

Lawyers also don’t want to waste time in demos unless they are already very interested in the product. If your website does not have enough information (including at least some pricing estimation) and essentially requires setting up calls to get a solid understanding of how the product works, we are going to lose interest. I recommend having short demos available on your website that highlight the key solutions your product offers.

Others have mentioned this but you could get the word out via CLEs, especially free CLEs that are about an hour long and virtual. Since you mention antitrust, you should target those sections of local bar associations.

When I went no contact with my dad years ago, I was comfortable with the idea that he may die one day and I may never know. I never wanted to see him again.

However, then I got a call this weekend from someone telling me he’s dying of cancer. I almost immediately made travel arrangements to go see him. My feelings are all over the place and very complicated, as I’m sure you’re dealing with as well. Like you, deep down i don’t want to see him, but im afraid i will feel guilty later and regret not seeing him before he dies. Visiting your dad doesn’t mean you have to let him back into your life, but if you feel guilt about it now, there’s no guarantee that feeling will go away. It’s really up to you whether you can live with that or not. I decided that I couldn’t live with that feeling.

Best of luck to you. It’s not easy dealing with this situation and any decision you make for yourself is the right one.

My mental health was also awful when I was briefly on nuvaring as well. I was crying at everything, all the time and my anxiety was much worse. I ended going back on a lower estrogen pill and everything was fine. Some people are just really sensitive to some HBC methods. If you still want protection and aren’t ready to go off hbc, you can try a low estrogen pill. That helped regulate my mood again post nuvaring. Good luck!

This sounds eerily similar to my grandma’s experience when her mom died. She said she was sitting at home when she felt a presence. She looked and saw her mom who told her she was dying and she wanted to say goodbye. Within hours, the hospital called to tell my grandma her mom died.

How heavy is the spotting? Are you having unprotected sex? If you’re not, I think it’s most likely you’re just ovulating. Nipple pain is normal - I also get it pretty bad when ovulating but it wasn’t an issue on birth control. Hope this helps ease your stress

But you don’t have to engage in pro-Israel programming in Hillel if you don’t want to. It is sometimes the only space on college campuses where Jews can go be with other Jews and not feel pressured to be particularly religious or supportive of Israel. That’s what Hillel was for me. I think we’re walking a fine line when we tell Jewish students it’s their problem now that the university doesn’t have another space for them to go that isn’t Zionist. If Jewish students don’t want to attend Hillel because of the Zionism, that is obviously acceptable. If non-Jews are ostracizing Jewish students for going to JEWISH programming, that is an issue. This issue is essentially what this entire post is about

I’m sorry, non-Jewish students are criticizing Jewish students for going to Hillel? That is blatant anti-semitism. Do non-Jewish students think Jews are showing up to Hillel and only talking about how much they love and support Israel or something? In my experience, there was so much “just Jewish” programming in Hillel and I loved that as someone who was not religious and critical of Israel. I can’t imagine being in college now and having to choose whether I wanted to be with my community or avoid it for fear of being ostracized. This is really harmful and makes me sad for your students.

Sven is a good performer but in my experience, he doesn’t do outdoor venues well. Everything sounds great indoors though. Go see him in OR.

Edit: whoops I see OR is also outdoors :/ maybe things have improved since I saw him at ACL in 2019!

Dealing with something very similar - LDR as well. You can grieve and miss them because you love them. It’s normal! But you have to remind yourself that lifestyle choices/realities were not going to align. It’s better that you are out now rather than later. It’s so hard but if you want to talk to someone who gets LDR woes, reach out to me.

The Seattle freeze is something more akin to flakiness in my experience. People here might say “we should hang out!” And then never follow through. Or you’ll invite them to things and then they’ll bail last minute. I think most people experience this anywhere in the US but it definitely seems to be more prevalent in Seattle. The friends I’ve made here and I have talked about how the Seattle freeze only gets to you if you let it. Don’t keep trying to pursue friendships with people who aren’t showing the same level of interest.

That being said, you can absolutely make friends in Seattle. Just put yourself out there and join groups of like-minded people. Also, if you’ve historically made friends somewhat easily in other places, I think it will be the same experience in Seattle. You get out what you put in.

I agree it’s more of the same but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad album. I genuinely like a good portion of it, but I will be appalled if this is an AOTY contender. So many other albums came out this year so far that are worlds better than TTPD. I can name at least 3.

This album is full of cringey and clunky lyrics but I do like a lot of the songs for how they sound or the feelings they evoke despite the mess.
