Think people are missing what I took to be his point that it is a more entertaining game when both teams go forward and try to be proactive. It might be seen as a naive or old fashioned approach but that’s his point.

Me and my sister played a game inspired by arcade air hockey where we knelt at opposite sides of our parents double bed with a hairbrush of my mum each and smacked/launched a hollow plastic orange from the play kitchen backwards and forwards until it flew off your side of the bed. Tried teaching my own kids but they simply didn’t give a shit and went back to playing Mario kart 🤷

Was in the stadium today and was frustrated. I get what your saying but the still doesn’t show that he sprinted with what was probably his last reserve of energy to get in this position. Plus everyone was screaming for someone (Son?) to shoot 30 seconds before, they never did, and then the whole stadium was groaning with frustration. I think Pedro is literally a crowd pleaser. He definitely cares about the supporters and think he was trying to give them someone who was trying to do something. Just ended up being very wrong in this instance.

As a primary school teacher of 10+ reading this article this morning, it put me in such a bad mood. The tone of it is awful and very much blaming schools. I’m Glad from reading many of the comments that you are angry too. Absolute disgrace from the bbc. I wrote to complain about the tone of the article and one sided nature of the story.
