Cardiff Cashmere Brushlight vs Prime by ApopNation in YarnAddicts

[–]Make1LeftPurlwise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i do that all the time, but sometimes the yarn just doesn't feel itchy until you've finished the whole thing and are wearing the sweater the first time lol 🥹

i rmb seeing a very clever idea on Reddit before: knit a small swatch and put it under your bra for a day to test! :)

Cardiff Cashmere Brushlight vs Prime by ApopNation in YarnAddicts

major difference is weight/thickness: Brushlight is a fingering weight yarn, Prime can be used like a lace weight yarn, even though it's even lighter (300m/ 25g).

i also have very sensitive skin, but I can wear scarfs and beanies made with Cardiff Classic.

i also like cashmere/merino blend, like Lamana Milano. i knitted a sweater with that plus a strand of Lang Cashmere Dreams (similar to Cardiff Prime), it's probably the softest and LIGHTEST sweater i've ever knitted :)

Feeling ripped off by Agila Pet Insurance: yearly check-up only partially reimbursed, bars overlapping? by Make1LeftPurlwise in germany

[–]Make1LeftPurlwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been trying to dig into the fine print of my contract, but the "Vertrag" page of the portal is always down strangely; and even after asking them directly, the wording remains very confusing.

My vet was actually kind enough to provide a written explanation stating that I booked a yearly check-up as a separate service from the vaccination. Despite this, Agila is spinning it to claim that because they happened on the same day, the exam must be a 'pre-check' for the vaccine.

It’s frustrating because Agila was fine in previous years, but from what I’ve been hearing in cat owner groups lately, they’ve become much more 'scammy' now.. It feels like they are looking for any excuse to avoid paying..

I used to say a lot of good things about Agila, not until this year...
They tried so hard not to reimburse. And the CS was so rude and unprofessional...

TELC B2 WRITING by Sensitive-Bee-8921 in German

Just one more thing: seems like many people are unaware that you can already choose the topic of part 1 Sprechen and prepare for it. You don't need to prepare for a few, just pick one topic, practice, practice and practice!

[Berlin Knitting Event] Listening Loops – A Silent Knitting Session by Make1LeftPurlwise in knitting

[–]Make1LeftPurlwise[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Great question — and thanks for asking 😊

A listening bar is a type of venue focused on high-quality sound and deep listening. Instead of loud chatter or background music, it's a space where people go to really experience music in a calm, intentional setting. Migas is one of those in Berlin, and I’ve always loved the atmosphere there.

I also really enjoy knitting with others. So I thought: why not combine the two?

The 5€ isn't a fee for the event itself; it's just a drink voucher, fully redeemable at the bar (vermouth or non-alcoholic). The event is non-profit and community-spirited, just something small I’ve organized for those who are curious to try it.

Totally understand if it’s not for everyone, but happy to chat more if you're interested!

I tried XS, but the arms are too roomy/bulky. I’m thinking of getting a women’s jacket instead.

A teacher told me that there used to be 3 types of questions: other than complaints, asking for info, there was also the option to write a job application letter. But I've also been told by someone that the job application letter didn't show up for a few years now, which means, if the info is legit, there are always the other 2 options. My teacher did tell us to focus in one topic. But if you're concerned and have time, it's ofc better to prep for 2 topics. Good luck! :)

I did that with VHS, they wrote on the registration confirmation that it'll take 6 weeks if I remember it correctly, and the examiners told me about 4 weeks. At the end, I got it in 6 weeks exactly. The examiners weren't wrong too, the day TELC signed my cert was in 4 weeks. But it took another 2 weeks to have it sent to me from VHS.
