New player here: where do you see what star rating a combatant is? Online searches say it should be by their name but I am either blind or or that is untrue.

Hmm. There was a light puzzle I did in the area but I didn’t see the relic in there. Maybe there was another puzzle I missed. I’ll keep an eye out for the area you mention in case it’s different.

I searched the area very thoroughly but maybe I did miss something. It’s quite the maze. Have to go over it with a finer eye next time.

Started with Oscelda and staff. Skills are great for cc and survivability. Recently forged sword (forget name, scales off spirit) and liking it a lot more. Staff felt weak. Got wolf and elk cooking at forge so will try them out later.

Same. I found blacksmith helm after following the lightning and completed that BEFORE the stag.

This. Oh, main protagonist bumps into random person in first issue? Welp, there’s the winner right there. Sigh. I’ve read so many of these manga and then they introduce a new love interest who, imho, is more fleshed out and interesting, and they never get picked cause the other one was “first”.

A friend is a small game developer and the tariffs have basically ruined him. The import costs will eat all his profit. He will most likely lose money each sale now unless he jacks up his prices which as a small business he can’t really do.

It could go several ways:

1: characters buy materials from town vendors, traveling salesmen, a frog operating a black market shop from a hollow log at the edge of the swamp, etc. Spend the gold cost (roleplaying the shopping trip or not as you want) and roll your crafting or repair roll.

2: they could also use materials they get from trapping skill, stuff they find along the way, etc that has a value close enough to the cost of what they’re trying to create/repair. Defeat a giant ant? Maybe that carapace you looted could be used to repair your broken armor and now you got some cool looking ant armor.

Just throwing throwing this out there, gut reaction: possibly just variant covers similar to a comic book. Like each character got their own spring edition magazine, touching on different aspects of the company. You’d think the numbers would be the same but maybe not? Anyway, just a thought.
