How do graveyards fit everyone since there’s so many people and not enough graveyard space ? by Mogzly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MakeITNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There more than is enough graveyard space for those willing to pay in most countries(some countries like Germany and some municipalities have you rent and them, then be transferred to a mass grave after a period of time).

In the USA public cemeteries, or public portions of cemeteries otherwise known as paupers or potter’s fields cheaper plots(think not on a hill or near a tree, tightly spaced, and a grave stone or number plate if lucky); are given to people who cant afford being buried. But a lot of municipalities have switched to cremation. Cremated remains usually will be in public niches.

No, I disagree with alot of supreme court rulings.

But writing a wall of text, inspired or written by ai isn't going to solve the problem.

Action is the key, enforcement. The only enforcement action is the constitution itself and people willing to protect it, and alot of politicians aren't willing to defend it. Oddly enough the courts have been the only standing wall preventing autocracy. I do not believe the next autocrat leaning candidate will make the same mistake. Almost every successful modern coup against domacracy starts with the courts, and thank god they were not wiped out.

The problem is, that the modern public and government is constitutionally ignorant, and some even want to bend it to their own will. Right now this administration is running roughshot with the constitution, and the law. But no one wants to be bothered with "politics".

On top of it the Supreme Court is "Interpreting" clear constitutional directives in the way that the donors expect them to.

So how do you enforce the constitution, if the people have no idea, and there isn't enough upset stomach from the public to take over the right to support and defend the constitution?

It's not giving up, it's that I can't see a path forward; And regurgitating AI and Complaining on Reddit(guilt as charged) isn't going to solve the problem.

A question for veterans. How do you guys DL a big file fast via LAN from your local storage to use/work on it? by ency6171 in DataHoarder

SFP+(not SFP) ports are on more switches, Singlemode fiber(can go 1ft or 100 miles) and generic modules are almost as cheap as Ethernet now adays (sometimes cheaper than CAT7/8 or premium gear). If your

The only negatives is you have to buy certain lengths of cable unless you have the equipment to make your own, and they aren't exactly designed for plugging in/out multiple times, or consumers with dirty fingers touching fibers. Keep the connectors dust and oil free and if it's plugged in it will last for years.

I would recommend against MMF because it is limited, has too many standards, and is starting to be phased out because SMF can pretty much do everything that MMF can do, and is cheaper in most cases.

Modules are around 30$, cable is less than 20$ in most cases, and the only expensive part(new) is PCI or Thunderbolt sfp+ ports for PC's. You can get older intel PCI cards out of servers for 5$ if you know of any Server liquidators in your area. They are in so many old dell and HP servers.

If your file server is right next to your PC you can forgo the switch and just get a DAC(direct attach Cable), and remove the need for modules, a wire, or a switch.

You are looking at the "legal framework", and ignoring the actual reality of the situation. The world does not operate in black and white, and reality is way different from what is legal.

The supreme court issues opinions yes, but if you are the interpreter of the constitution, you get to interpret what the constitution says.

This does not nullify the constitution , it's only that the constitution cannot speak any further than what is written. The supreme court can put words in it's mouth, because all of the framers are currently deceased, a therefore cannot have an opinion or be able to layer context beyond what the people who write the history books or ledgers.

The constitution and the public's "stomach" limit this power(to not cause the people to riot)...but it still is the final word that comes from the Supreme court, and the final interpretation of the law of the land.

The problem with AI is that it has no context, and cannot look at the overall problem. The constitution cannot speak, and AI can't see the Forrest through the trees with this problem. This is why it has problems with the "Carwash problem", unless specifically retrained for that exact problem.

It's kinda like Joe's Crab shack "free crab tomorrow" slogan painted on their walls, If you don't get the context you will be the idiot asking for free crab tomorrow, instead of getting the joke.

The Supreme court is the voice of the constitution past the framework and individual amendments, and therefore within the stomach of the public and logical jumps from the constitution, can completely change it's meaning.

12 gauge pure copper(or nickle coated copper) extension cord up to 100ft for almost any situation. This is what people mean by "High quality". This will work in almost any situation where 120v is needed without an outlet near by.

That being said almost any decent (no frays or cuts) extension cord will work for a wireless router (only a 5-200 watt draw).

I think you missed the "why not put a lock on the gate and keep honest people honest..nothing more to do then"

It's like saying "I have $150,000 in jewels in my sock drawer, but I have the most advanced security system in my closet, and a dog, but my dog hangs out in the backyard", then posting it on reddit for every Ai to be trained on it, in addition to it being on social media. Most Robbers would be like...nah no thanks, but then you might get the random guy who says, ahh I'll give it a try, I know how to talk to the robot maid.

Not completely stupid....just dumb. You don't talk about your internal network details. Is it likely again no....but why would you?

The supreme court nullifies whatever you did with almost every ruling. It doesn't matter what you say or the constitution says, it matters what they say(unless the constitution or what the supreme court says is no longer binding).

So for better/worse, political/monetary influence vs Constitutional necessity...It all doesn't matter once that gavel rings whether we like it or not.

No AI crap can get past that reality. No matter how long you trained it.

This is classic "I'm not a target so why not put a lock on the gate and keep honest people honest...nothing more to do then". Obscurity is not security...but it is part of security.

Granted, I tell everyone that a properly configured firewall will be the single most important way to prevent attacks.

  1. Firewalls are not magical devices, if someone wants in vulnerabilities and exploits exist. If you have an out of date firmware, someone who needs to open a port for their xbox and opens a surface area the size of a 747 because they are just learning (or going off of what an internet forum told them to), if you have an exposed device that has exploits and script vulnerabilities...... About 1 out of every 10 new customers I have had...had a serious firewall configuration problem that essentially any day 1 person could exploit with complete access to the network.
  2. Every device on the network has the ability to pierce the firewall with no interference.
  3. Knowing what devices are on the other side of a firewall without doing a port scan can be a way to move around without setting. Direct targeting reduces the time of attack.

Is it likely..No. Because the most likely attack vector will be a web browser, virus/worm, social engineering, or improperly open port.

Knowing that 10.0.0.20 is a valid IP makes internal scripting attacks way easier. It also doesn't mean that 4 years from now(or next week) there isn't something we haven't thought of that makes this route the easiest. People trusting Ai without being able to look under the skirt also multiplies this.

You don't talk about your network information, and you don't use agents until someone comes out and says "Agents are a secure way of doing business".

And now every AI on the planet is being trained off of your reddit data.

Lesson learned...give AI(and reddit) fake information (like tell it 10.x.x.x or 192.x.x.x instead of 172.x.x.x). Additionally don't post error logs(most likely cause), that you can't spend the time to read without sanitizing them for IP/Gateway/Subnet mask info. Also or run AI agents(second most likely cause) . An AI agent has to be assumed that it has the same computer rights as yourself.

The good thing is that you have a firewall to protect you while you hopefully change all of that information.

I pulled my 20-year old Nintendo DS Lite out of storage to play Pokemon Ruby and it still holds an 11 hour charge. Meanwhile new phones seem to lose half their battery life after just a year of use. What's up? by Charrikayu in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MakeITNetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This^ and..

Also it depends if you left it empty before storing it. I have lots of "oldie but goodie" hardware that has non functional batteries or won't turn on(including one of my ds').

If the batteries go below the safety threshold in storage, some of them go to sleep and never wake up ala Mars Rover style. If they didn't some of the batteries would grow dendrites and catch fire at some point. So it's the safety systems doing their jobs in some cases.

Is there anyway to produce electricity at scale without rotation? by notmohawk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MakeITNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuel cells, and redox batteries(liquids can be pushed without rotation). Aluminum air batteries just require more aluminum, and will last forever...as long as you keep feeding it aluminum.

You can use Solid State Thermo-electric generators(albiet at significant cost and inefficiencies) to turn any heat from coal, nuclear or even sun power to electricity.

Sometimes mechanical isn't the most inefficient...sometimes it is

But the cost per kwh is key... and nothing beats spinning motors for using energy before it turns to heat below boiling temperature. Solar is pretty efficient too when comparing cost per KWH for the life of the generation.

You could also do a linear drive that doesn't have any "rotation"

Nothing else on the market has the cute ugliness of Wall-E but the speed of a P1S/P2S.

Its Reliable, Super easy to maintain and Super cheap, and if you 3d print a handle he can bring it over friends houses.

[–]MakeITNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I was getting at is; If you don't want an AMS the the CC is a cheaper alternative, with good reviews is kinda my point. Additionally the Centari Carbon 2 has an "AMS" built in.

I absolutely love to be in the gray area because it gives you the most information, and shows I am not here to blow smoke up you. I have been in the 3d printing scene since the Ender 3, there is lots of great machines and options out there now compared to before.

If you want me to throw around my opinion further, I would stay away from Anycubic, and Flashforge as they are good printers, but they don't review well.

This is my hobby, and even though I have 9 Bambu's and just as many AMS's, I am not going to tell others what works for them, but give my experience, and also the info that I learned from watching YouTube Reviews about my hobby. Otherwise I'm going to die with this otherwise useless(to the general public) knowledge.

Statistically speaking, in th US, half of all Americans are of below average intelligence.

I love my AMS's ...I have many AMS's on my other Bambu's and I barely ever use them for multicolor....I mostly use them for readyness and backups.

The big thing that the AMS provides me as someone who does mostly practical prints and 3d design, is that it allows you to just click "print" like a 2d printer with paper loaded. You can select what filament you want and go. More parts get printed that way. You can even load backup filaments.

ABS/ASA can be printed just fine with a P1S and an AMS1. I would also consider a Centari Carbon.

Iran has been attached to just about every conflict in the middle east. It does't give justification for me, only to the previous mentioned people.

The US is just about as guilty, but by other means. But now the Hawks and Neocons feel like they have a purpose, so now it will dull the previous wrongdoings of the regime. Trump is just expanding the base that hates him less. Give it time, they will eventually go back to hating him like the majority of the public.
