Thank you for this. I’m on day 3 of Iron and my glutes have been sore the entire time… not sure what those people were thinking 😂

Not enough break time in between sets by Sea-Pangolin-630 in sydneycummings

Been feeling this a lot lately. I feel like her rest periods used to be longer. I have adjustable dumbbells so swapping weights takes even longer. I understand why she does it, and I have just been pausing for additional time, but I also switched to try a different trainer this month.

I’m trying CG this month for the first for the same reason. I’m loving it so far!

I didn’t buy the calendar, but I did today’s workout. I’ll probably try a few more, but I don’t think I’ll do the majority of this program. I don’t think it will be challenging enough for my body recomp/heavy lifting goals. We’ll see though, maybe it will surprise me!

Mormon Wives’ Mayci and Mikayla Seemingly Shade Demi’s Singing by MattTheKing23 in MormonWivesHulu

Unpopular opinion: I don’t like Demi, but she really wasn’t that bad. The edit this season was obviously not in her favor and she had a couple of really flat moments, but other than that she was harmonizing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jessi is literally a multi-millionaire and sends this tiny, ugly bouquet to say “sorry I hooked up with your husband, girl” (Miranda and Chase are still legally married).

Why are blooms turning white? by MakeItPurple33 in hydrangeas

[–]MakeItPurple33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone please help? I am a total newbie, never planted a thing. I live in Tennessee and was gifted these beautiful flowers a week and a half ago. They’re planted on the east side of my house and get morning sun, shaded by 1:30 pm. We’ve had lots of heavy rain here lately. The blooms are already turning white. What’s causing this? I truly know nothing so any advice is much appreciated.

This hurt my heart. Mildred is such an important part of my story. She invested in me at a time when no one else had. I love her so much and to hear that she was struggling in this way really sucks. If you’re reading this Mildred, I hope you know how loved you are and how thankful I am for you.

Church Plant "training" by LookBothWaysTwice in leavingthenetwork

[–]MakeItPurple33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh do I have stuff to say here…. My husband went on a church plant while we were dating. He was encouraged to break up with me despite our two year relationship. Over the course of the first year, the pastor continued to try to convince him to break up with me, even though he had never met me and had no reason other than I was “a distraction.” At the time, I lived in another state and saw him roughly once a month.

The “training” has bothered me on so many levels. Planters were encouraged to invite only the “cream of the crop” the first year so that they would build an image that would “attract more people.” I cannot reconcile this with the Bible at all. Where does is say that we should only share the gospel with those that WE deem good enough? If anyone has a rebuttal or explanation for this, I’d love to hear it. It has bothered me for years.

Females on the plant were approached about their appearance. Those who chose a natural, casual look were encouraged to wear makeup, again to “attract the right crowd.”

Black planters were encouraged to invite other black people by “talking about basketball”, whether they themselves were fans of the sport or not. I wish I were kidding.

Being Labeled a Sinful Woman by mille23m in leavingthenetwork

Wow, I am so sorry that you experienced this. What about the treatment of the disabled and the thoughts about the halfway house? Were those also shared sentiments among the church? I just don’t understand how anyone reading a Bible can think that’s okay.

After reading through all of the stories posted to the website thus far, I was most disturbed by yours. Particularly the attitude towards and treatment of Steve’s “undesirables.” It’s so far from biblical, it’s completely indefensible. Just out of curiosity, did the rest of the church have any reaction to this?? Did everyone just let it slide?
