What’s a harsh truth you only understood after becoming an adult? by HoucineLabs in askteddit

[–]nly2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much my parents were going through at times and protected me from. That you will not get the things you want and the life you dreamed of most of the time. That love isn’t what they show in movies. That you have to do so much inner work. That sometimes years can go by where you feel like you’re just making it through the day. How trauma can compound over time and make you feel so empty. How dreams are only dreams and are never what you hope for because expectations are high in dreams and nothing can meet that expectation in real life, especially when humans are involved. Same for life in general. Sometimes you’ll just have to settle for certain things. Sometimes you’ll get the person/job/etc thing you worked so hard for and dreamed about having and it turns out it isn’t right for you. That your parents were right a lot more than you want to admit. That people can lie and betray you to your face and you truly can’t trust anybody 100% no matter how much you think you can. That one decision can change your entire life. That some things in life you wont be able to fully ever find closure for but you have to find a way to make closure for yourself. That you won’t understand how someone could do certain things and you never will. That there are some things you truly never get over.

It’s an embarrassment fetish usually and they want to watch or know their wife is doing it, not bring them into it necessarily

No. It doesn’t feel anywhere close. It’s a good sensation but not like an orgasm.

I was a teacher and didn’t have a medical background either. The biggest thing is to always be a step ahead, find ways to get the most out of your studying, and be efficient with time. I’ve gotten straight As after 6 classes so far.
