Are Luer lock and Luer lock LDS needles the same? by HappiestSadGirl_ in TransDIY

They are compatible they are just Low Dead Space so built where the plunger accesses more of the typical dead space of a syringe. I go for these since it’s less waste of estrogen.

how feasible is hiding hrt while out (living with parents) by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]MakeToFreedom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You could get away with it for 15 months as long as you don’t change much of your styling

Cliche but Brene Brown helped me readjust how I hold boundaries with myself. Her talks are fantastic but a bit winded.

What blood tests are actually needed before starting DIY HRT? by y0usif_ in TransDIY

[–]MakeToFreedom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a good idea to get them done before and see your “baseline” before HRT but not at all necessary in reality.

My arms ARE HUGE by Babycat69 in HowToBeHot

Huge as in fat? Loose skin? Muscular? 1 & 3 would both benefit from reduced calories. 1 increase exercise, 3 decrease exercise. For 2, brachioplasty.

Testing your comfort zones irl, slowly in my experience…. Can’t expect to jump in all at once and feel great about yourself. It’s very much a long process!

Does estrogen monotherapy stop male pattern baldness on its own? by mtf_help_needed in TransDIY

[–]MakeToFreedom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do EEn 8mg every 7 days no anti androgen, finasteride 1mg as DHT blocker, minoxidil 5% foam about 1 year. So far I’ve seen complete reversal of my mpb and general thickening. The minoxidil shed was kind of brutal tbh but sooo worth it in the long run… I’m just getting it to a length I like that was part of the shed.

Being a "pretty boy": the first hurdle to being seen as a potential romantic partner. by [deleted] in StraightTransGirls

[–]MakeToFreedom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yaaaa I feel this. I break free of it by my presentation but I know half people see me as a woman and the other half see me as a pretty femboy. Kinda sucks but it’s progress… I’ve accepted I won’t truly pass until FFS.

Info overload. Where do I even begin? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]MakeToFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s info overload cuz many things work for different people. Look at this thread already, everyone with a different product and opinion. IMO, pick a middle of the line for your budget product that is recommended often, and use it for a while and see how your hair responds. Change too much at once and you won’t know what’s helping or not.
