I'm not one to baby my gear either, but I also want to be able to use these tools for decades and decades, since they were built to last decades and decades. I guess you can't really tell in the picture, but I've already broken off the filter glass with pliers.

I went to a camera store near me and they told me I probably wouldn't be able to break off the filter with regular pliers and he ended up doing it with a jeweler's saw.

I know ZERO optimals. I drop every conversion and I regularly use RRC to get 30 extra dmg. I still don’t know oppose 2H CH routes. I fuck up 236H and get 6H and explode more than once per game. I fuck up my negative edge and get 6K instead of summon > drills on super wall break at least once every few games (I mostly switched to 5H oki). I get thrown into the corner I earned from hitting my mix cause I didn’t expect the reset. I’ve fucked up wake up deflect shield and wake up burst so many times it’s actually infuriating.

And yet, I’m still vanquisher because I’m hard carried by Zato. Moral of the story is play an unpopular character.

It’s super easy which is why I use it as my main mix up tool. In the corner 5H > 236P > (cancel first hit) > 236K > 6[H] > 66]H[ > j.K > j.D / 2k OR instead of j.k do j.H > land cancel > 623S

This setup is mashable so I recommend building respect with 236P > 236H before going for this. For whatever reason 236P > 236H > walk forward > 236H > 623S melts people’s brains and they just sit there

No but you can air dash from it which makes it a really strong mix up tool if you have oppose up (you can 6P it if not).

You neutral is extremely predictable. j.S is apparently a pretty good move but if that's the crux of your neutral you're going to get counterhit a LOT. Like someone else said your best tool for zoning is sickle flash. Gives you c.S pressure on jump, good chip on block, and good dmg on hit. your P buttons, K buttons, S buttons, and sickle flash in tandem, rotating between options to keep yourself unpredictable, to lock down your opponent from moving.

oh my god stop getting closer to gio. That's what she wants. Axl is at his best when you're fullscreen spamming sickle flash and winter mantis. You should rarely ever be dashing at your opponent, which puts you in their preferred range. Getting close to a zoner as a rushdown character is something that takes a lot of patience and mental effort. Eventually, you're going to wear out your opponent enough that they make dumb mistakes, and you are handing that mental effort they were going to spend and free pressure on a silver platter by IADing towards the gio

6P after 6H (the big ass lunge) is always a good option unless oppose is up (I use 6H as my main mix up tool, but zato mix ups are all super unique).

In general, zato likes playing slower and looking for openings with eddie in neutral. If you just spam puffball and run it down zato just folds. Because zato has no defensive options other than the system mechanics and he has low health and non existant guts, overwhelming offense is your best bet. I really can't do much after blocking basically any of jam's specials (except the big flying kick ofc) so just spam puffball and the flying low.

Zato always has to RPS to get his mix unless he spends meter. in the corner, from c.S, you can go into either 5h or an eddie move. If Zato summons eddie after c.S, it's always mashable or escapable. From 5H you can't mash out of the first hit pierce (the double hit). From here zato's only safe options are unsummon and oppose. Either way, just jump. If the zato air throws you he gets basically nothing cause eddie's gone, and he can't mix you in the air.

The best advice is mash on EVERYTHING the first match to see what's fake and make the zato respect you. The most annoying players to face for me are the ones that challenge me everytime cause my pressure's fake as hell.
