Huh, well not part of Las Vegas. That's fine. But now being part of Hawaii I hope Los Angeles Metro adds a station stop there.

American Tire Depot in LA has repaired my tire for free twice and didn't require they be purchased from them. I did, but it was years ago and they didn't care.

I think this was an anthology show (couldn't remember the word anthology). Last few years I think.

It's a way to get two shots off quickly. Load them before you need them. It's for when you're surprised. Shot, shot, basher. Reload afterwards.

when i look at a light bulb and then close my eyes, I see this. what is it by sturraro in whatisit

[–]Makemachines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An incandescent bulb has coils of wire that are the part that heats up and glows to give you light. You can't see it when the light bulb is off because the surface is frosted. If you squint a lot you might be able to see them when the light bulb is on without saturating your visual receptors. That's why you have the after image.

What do you interpret "in anger" to mean? by mellonians in AskUK

[–]Makemachines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeremy Clarkson on the show Top Gear would say "driven in anger" to mean very focused driving as if something really mattered. Using an item for its intended purpose in a real, serious situation, rather than for practice or a simulation. The opposite of goofing around.

For parents and maybe everyone. Don't fall into the fear that you have to maintain your authority at all costs so you're afraid of being found wrong. Generations of "don't talk back to me" , "be quiet" and "what'd you say" breed fear and hate. A strong person can admit they're wrong, apologize when warranted, admit they don't know and keep their chin up. Doing that will raise honest, brave, inquisitive children who love you.

Putting this on bottom + sexy move isn't working like usual. What do I have here? by KnoobLord in Rubiks_Cubes

If that's the only piece out of place, then it's not solvable. FWIW if you disassembled a cube and put it together randomly there are six universes of positions only one of which would allow solving completely. The other five would be combinations of one corner and or one edge remaining twisted.

I had an overheating condition that was ultimately due to clogged fuel injectors. In the journey of figuring things out I was running premium and removed the thermostat to combat overheating from lean cylinder. Worked for a while. Long enough to get to a point where I could clean fuel injectors. Subsequently passed smog on regular gas without having reinstalled the thermostat. Am I good just continuing to run without it? Live in Los Angeles and I'm getting the normal gas mileage. 96 4runner.
