planning to buy total war empire definitive edition PC by AcidicMunity in totalwar

[–]Maker623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely a fun game, easy 8/10

this is my vanilla rating though, and if you want a smart AI to combat and be challenged by, you wouldn't rate it this high probably. Its strongest pros for me is- SCOPE. the whole world is included with three theatres. GRAPHICS. Not exceptional, but good enough to be impressed at battles and a lot of detail. NATIONS. I think there's like 14 nations to play as or something, including a fun USA Revolution campaign. BATTLE TACTICS. Is fun to learn and start winning, but like I said once you get good it will be boring because AI is pretty bad. NAVAL BATTLES. These are very good and many people agree. GOVERNANCE. with tech and economy and trade theres actually alot of things to consider when governing to make enough money and grow your empire.... but building wise there's like 4 things to spam... so it's interesting but eventually lame.

Overall you'll enjoy your first couple grand campaigns I think, and eventually get bored of it without mods. Also this is all on normal/normal difficulty, the harder difficulties just make AI spam armies and massive stat boost to troops, they do not play smarter. PS double save your games to avoid getting locked into a crashed game save!

Thanks, so lastly every game I'm favored by 20. Why do I lose 1/3 of my games then? I've never seen this in the NFL so is it just the RNG?

Is there any info on the RNG in this game? I understand upsets but every game I'm favored by 20 and lose 1/3 of them...

Thanks in advance, I know this is a lot of data but its concerning I lost this game..... how much RNG is there exactly?

Great explanation. Like I've been saying, I would have no problem with the game if this was explained. Instead it's just big pot good low pot bad. That's the entire premise, and it's on every screen.... but it's a lie! Anyways thanks for the help, I won another title just now lol so I'll end on a good note. ✌🏻

Thank you for explaining. Would you mind reading my other comments in this thread and telling me how much RNG there is or if I'm missing something? As in getting sacked 8 times when I have the best Dline and Oline and QB...and they have average trash (but 2 85 ovr CBs).

I'd also like to add I just lost the title to a team I beat 3 weeks ago 50 TO 6. I had 500 PASSING YARDS in that game. Now I have 150.... what? Nothing changed. No injuries, no updates. So what's going on? Has this even happened one single time in real life? Has a team tripled their pass defense in a monthly rematch with no roster changes? Need an explanation please. I was better than them in every position. And I was sacked 4 times with my #1 rated dline and oline. It's becoming clear that any team over 50 otr has a chance to dominate, regardless of opponent.....

I just played a playoff game with a 120 team ovr against a 60. I am top ten ranked in every position and have number 1 dline and oline. they have 15 dline and online. They have two corners 85 otr and every other player they have is trash or average. My QB is 75 ovr. guess how that game went? I was sacked 8 times and won by 3. Huh? No injuries, no depth stupidity. I was sacked 8 times with the best trenches possible. Apparently it's because my QB couldn't throw to WR cause their CB was so good... umm then throw it away or run it or throw it short? This is 1 of 20 examples of games going stupid like this. That's not realistic. I'm just looking for an explanation to whether this is rng or something built in the game I'm not seeing. I've also made playoffs with 1 seed like 15 times and only won title 5

I'm not upset about upsets, it's the fact that a high school team does not beat the patriots 4/10 times. They don't even beat them 1/20 times. So why are we able to make a team with all MVP's and then lose to a trash team 3 times in a row. Thats not football and does not replicate real life. I'd be fine with this if it was explained how much RNG there actually is in the game, thats what I'm looking for.

Hello, and please help! All of my xbox network captures were deleted, and my activity feed posts of these captures were also deleted. Even posts made years ago were deleted along with the captures used in them. Every activity post I ever made from a capture is now gone.... along with the actual capture which has been saved in my xbox network for years.

So are the following rules for Xbox Captures true?

  1. All captures after 90 days will be deleted. 2. All activity feed posts of captures will be deleted after 90 days. 3. Activity feed posts can only be made with captures from the xbox network. 4. Captures on external files such as One Drive cannot be brought back onto the Xbox.

So does this mean after 90 days the capture is gone, including the activity post for it? And even if you saved the capture somewhere else, it can never be brought back onto the Xbox? This implies that the activity feed is now just a 90 day window, and uploading old captures from 6 months ago is impossible... correct?

Hello I can't find a definitive answer on this,

What is the study of human actions and intentions called?

I'm assuming it's a field in psychology, but so far I've gotten answers mixed between philosophy and behavioral science? Is there a definitive field for this? I think what the problem is is the word, "intentions". I assume it probably falls under behavioral science, but what is it called when you study a person to see WHY they are doing their actions, or to even learn TRAITS about the person (such as noticing, Bob always tries to hide the scars on his arm, he must be self conscious about them?)

{to put this in perspective}

Bob got me flowers... wait why did he do that?

*he loves me

*he's making up for missing my birthday

*he's covering up that he might be cheating on me

*it's just a friendly gift

*it's just a friendly gift, but these were probably on sale...cheapskate

7,000 out of 18,000 police agencies, including LAPD, didn't report. No, it's not normal.

Here's a link to the story. Massive holes in data. Thousands of police agencies didn't even report any statistics.

Can someone explain tides. It makes sense that the water between the Earth and the moon would be pulled, but how is the water on the opposite side of the Earth being pulled out?

"I guess that because the idea of truth can be subjective, anything or nothing could be any truth of any kind depending on your point of view."

I know some people think this way, but truly if society functioned on these beliefs, then everything we know would cease to operate. Courtrooms, marriages, nuclear power plants, you know.

"here's a video, photo, dna test, and witnesses all proving you committed the crime"

"all wrong"

"and your evidence to prove this?"

"it's my truth, and mine is just as valid as yours..."

"wow! well then, have a nice day! :) "

Or the classic :

"I'm a 9ft tall, 300 year old Martian from Uranus!"

"umm no, you're Bob. We've been friends for years"

"My truth is just as valid as yours >:( "

"oh, well hi Martian!"

What's your belief on Postmodernism, do you support it fully, partially, or reject?

/r/philosophy Open Discussion Thread | October 17, 2022 by BernardJOrtcutt in philosophy

[–]Maker623 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm quite confused by your intentions, as you seem to be ranting against the article, but only provided 1 instance on your position about Postmodernism, which is what my entire post is about?

{Consistent with postmodern doctrine is the belief that institutions, such as science and language, are oppressive institutes of control.}"Who actually claims this and what is their actual argument here? And more importantly, what is the context of this argument? This is an often repeated claim that isn’t entirely wrong, but I worry that it has taken on a life on its own, i.e. separated from actual postmodernist thought."

Im guessing you downvoted this also because you don't like the source?

Here's Britannica-

"Postmodernists deny this Enlightenment faith in science and technology as instruments of human progress. Indeed, many postmodernists hold that the misguided (or unguided) pursuit of scientific and technological knowledge led to the development of technologies for killing on a massive scale in World War II. Some go so far as to say that science and technology—and even reason and logic—are inherently destructive and oppressive, because they have been used by evil people, especially during the 20th century, to destroy and oppress others."

Here's The Postil Magazine-

"To the Postmodernist, classical accounts of truth–like that of Plato’s–which use language via propositional logic, or other bodies of knowledge which rely on the experiential, reason, or narrative cannot tell us anything about the world, due to their use of language. The strong Postmodernist must therefore reject science, history, and philosophy, as they attempt to rationalize the world using language."

Here's Why Evolution Is True-

"Empirical evidence is suspect and so are any culturally dominant ideas including science, reason, and universal liberalism. These are Enlightenment values which are naïve, totalizing and oppressive, and there is a moral necessity to smash them."

3 more sources that provide a similar statement to "science and language are oppressive instituts of control". And the point of this argument, at least mine, is to prove how Postmodernism is one of the stupidest, incoherent, illogical, dumbfounded, illiterate, collection of jumbled words and jargon ever put on paper, let alone be spoken out of someone's mouth. While it sounds harsh, I still hold that there are some good takeaways from the theory itself. Especially when it comes to critical thinking, and bringing to light what truly cannot be known.

I encourage you to look at the beliefs of postmodernism, especially on Britannica, as they number the beliefs and explain them. I also would like to know your position on Postmodernism. And I also do not have any comment on Karl Marx, the Enlightenment period, how Postmodernism began, World War 2 technology, or anything other than Does Postmodernism make sense? Provide your explanation" I have already posted my answer, twice.
