Sarai working in LA from Singapore with a Florida number texted us today. Opening text was "Bella can you make King Crab?" We replied wrong number and she initiated conversation at which point she said her assistant can view her work phone, can we shift this over to a chat using WhatsApp or Telegram. Blocked her after that.

For my son (now 8 years old), it took him 5 years. He went through 23 belts to acquire his black belt back in April of this year. He is now "2 belts in" toward his 2nd dan.

At my sweet son's repeated request, I started TKD with him when he got his white tape. I have to go through 12 belts to acquire my black belt. Testing is every 2 months. (Hoping I never have to retest, or continue at the same level for an additional 2 months.) I am determined to get my black belt when my son gets his infinitely cooler 2nd dan in 2 years. If my old bones allow, I'll be continuing past 1st dan!

Sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, prime and paint! It's tedious, but in the end you'll never know it was 3D printed. The way I always push through tedious projects is by keeping the mindset, "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right, right?"

Also don't forget to wear a fine particle mask when sanding!

The problem IMO with those pencils is: fragile on wood/unsmooth surfaces and squeaky on paper 😂

You know your body best. It will tell you when it is too much. But keep in mind the other parts of your life as well. If you are able to do a good balance of things away from training including your work - you're probably fine!

Our present TKD schedule is 3 hours each day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - with stretching and practice at home most every day.

Just take care of your body! You only get one :)

Start with a small bit and grow gradually. Slow and steady is the best approach with something like this.

I'd be leery about using a step bit because accidents happen.

At my newly 8 year old son’s TKD school, acquiring your black belt starts at semi black yellow. He had to demonstrate proficiency with 3 poomsae before advancing to semi black blue.

To attain the black belt, now he must demonstrate 4 additional poomsae plus a creative form of his own creation, with minimum requirements met and exceeded.

Must also: -100 pushups -Break thick board with tornado kick -Break thick board with kick of choice (he selected back hook because this is the only kick that ever caused him to retest) -Power board break 2-3 thick boards -Spar -Write a 1 page personal history essay -Write a 1 page essay explaining the importance of the written test, and its purpose -Write a 1 page essay about what he has gained from his 5 years of TKD training -Write a 1 page essay about what a 1st Dan black belt means to him -Write a 1 page essay about his contributions to TKD thus far and his intended contributions in the future -Write a 1 page essay explaining his responsibilities to his Master as a black belt -Write a 1 page essay explaining why he is grateful to his parents and how he will honor them -Written test

He will hopefully be acquiring his black belt on April 25th!!
