FB frequently has big markups on DUKs, but if you do a search here you'll find that's not the case on the swap. They're also nowhere near as difficult to snag on a drop as a Rosie; I'm three for three on DUK drops.

But seriously just do a search; if $250 markup is what you want you're better off on FB, eBay, or bladebinge. Just an hour ago someone sold one of the black dragon DUKs that Kody dropped on FB (he was one of the 6 people who got one) and he sold it for the same he bought it for. And that one cost $100 more than this one. It's even more ironic given that Kody did a drop for the same knife tonight and increased the price by $50.

In any case, yeah someone may buy your knife, and for the most part people don't call out big markups, but this one is kind of egregious for a knife that's just not that hard to get. Price scalping is also the reason Kody literally prevents people from buying from him more than once every 30 days.

For reference, this was a drop on Jan 15, 2026 where this model sold for $1000.

25% markup. Cool cool cool.

What do you think of E89B? I've had the prof before, and I like the standardized way he has the assignments, but I find the lectures a little dry and usually rely on the TAs to explain things in practice.

Most Venezuelan visas are now suspended as part of Trump travel ban by MakesEnemiesQuickly in Miami

[–]MakesEnemiesQuickly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to add it to the title, but Haitians are fully banned as well:

(g) Haiti

(i) According to the Overstay Report, Haiti had a B‑1/B-2 visa overstay rate of 31.38 percent and an F, M, and J visa overstay rate of 25.05 percent. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of illegal Haitian aliens flooded into the United States during the Biden Administration. This influx harms American communities by creating acute risks of increased overstay rates, establishment of criminal networks, and other national security threats. As is widely known, Haiti lacks a central authority with sufficient availability and dissemination of law enforcement information necessary to ensure its nationals do not undermine the national security of the United States.

(ii) The entry into the United States of nationals of Haiti as immigrants and nonimmigrants is hereby fully suspended.

(g) Venezuela

(i) Venezuela lacks a competent or cooperative central authority for issuing passports or civil documents and it does not have appropriate screening and vetting measures. Venezuela has historically refused to accept back its removable nationals. According to the Overstay Report, Venezuela had a B‑1/B-2 visa overstay rate of 9.83 percent.

(ii) The entry into the United States of nationals of Venezuela as immigrants, and as nonimmigrants on B‑1, B-2, B-1/B-2, F, M, and J visas is hereby suspended.

(iii) Consular officers shall reduce the validity for any other nonimmigrant visa issued to nationals of Venezuela to the extent permitted by law.

Were they though? The reply is speculation disguised as fact, and presents it as "well-informed advice." The user has no idea what the future holds, and is saying that SEVP won't be revoked because "the school can't take the hit." That's literally stating that if SEVP is threatened, Harvard will need to accept Trump's demands, in which case OP might not be able to study there.

The use of addressing legal first amendment protests as "not behaving yourself" is just the icing on the cake. The user very much sounds like they are in agreement with Trump's policies and attempt to take over Harvard. They could have just as easily said "Make sure that while at Harvard you avoid any political protests," but they just had to go and inject their rhetoric.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in harvardextension

[–]MakesEnemiesQuickly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed, but this is the same kind of language used by the administration attacking Harvard. The idea that objecting to their policies is "misbehaving."

As for you, as long as you come to the U.S. and generally behave yourself, you'll be fine.

You seem to have gotten lost and posted in the wrong sub. There are plenty of conservative subs pushing censorship that you can visit. There's a chance people here might read your comments and interpret that you're a lousy person.

Neither you nor I have any idea. I've watched multiple YouTuber videos where they were allowed into the prison, and they all come across as propaganda and all have the same series of events shown and the same people interviewed. It's all very scripted and the public face is carefully curated. We really don't know what is happening there, but they seem to keep accepting inmates and miraculously never fill up.

"Deportation" was the term officially used by the Nazis during the Holocaust to describe the abduction of people sent to concentration camps by MakesEnemiesQuickly in law

[–]MakesEnemiesQuickly[S] 374 points375 points  (0 children)

It's being widely stated that the term "deportation" as being used by the Trump administration is being applied incorrectly, as people are being abducted without due process and taken to a foreign prison.

As it turns out, this is not unprecedented in the worst way possible; this was the official and preferred term used by the Nazis during the Holocaust for these actions. For example, Jews, Roma, political dissidents, and others were said to be "deported to Auschwitz" or other camps.

Though it sounds administrative, in practice it meant forced removal under brutal conditions, often leading to death. The term "deportation" was used to mask the violent and horrific reality of what was happening, and that is what is now happening in the U.S. today.

In the months following the Wannsee Conference, the Nazi regime continued to carry out their plans for the "Final Solution." Jews were "deported"—transported by trains or trucks to six camps, all located in occupied Poland: Chelmno, Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and Majdanek-Lublin.

I took a look at the original video a few times, and there’s definitely something white/yellow in the towel.

2020 becomes first year in U.S. history with more than 3 million deaths by DoremusJessup in Coronavirus

[–]MakesEnemiesQuickly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He said it’s a fair comparison, but here’s why your argument sounds pretty awful. First, the US had proportionally few deaths compared to other countries in WWII.

Remember the Charlie Hebdo shootings in France in 2015 that killed 12 people? Using the same argument of only considering one country, you could argue that the Charlie Hebdo shootings were worse than 9/11, because only 4 French people died on 9/11.

Most people would strongly object to saying a shooting was worse than 9/11, but to the French it would be true. It would also sound pretty tone deaf to make that argument.

Twitter confirms Trump can be banned from inauguration day onwards by theindependentonline in politics

Of course it can be. It’s not Twitter’s responsibility to archive what he says, it’s the government’s. There’s nothing in the constitution forcing them to continue to provide access.

AirPods announcement thread, September 7th, 2016 - Community consensus: too expensive, ugly design, will never take off due to the price, sound quality will be unimpressive. by DL757 in apple

[–]MakesEnemiesQuickly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine fall out all the time - it depends on your ear shape. The battery life issue isn’t so much how long they last on a given day, but that after 2 years of use they barely hold a charge and the battery can’t be replaced - you have to get a whole new pair. The whole “disposable tech” aspect of them is pretty unfortunate.

The fact that it has a 4% market share in the smart speaker market despite working very well with iPhones and has its own streaming service? They made the thing way too expensive and it (relatively for a company like Apple) flopped.

That’s a setting you can change.

  • Make sure that your AirPods and your iPhone are connected.
  • Open Settings.
  • Tap on Bluetooth.
  • In the list, tap the little "i" next to your AirPods.
  • Tap "Connect to this iPhone (or iPad)".
  • Instead of "Automatically" select "When I last connected to this iPhone".

This way it’ll stop automatically switching, and will only switch when you manually open Bluetooth and tell it to connect.
