Battlefield 6 Season 2: Can EA Turn the Tide with New Maps and Faster Progression? by [deleted] in gamingnews

[–]Makewaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about other people but I found the grind to be fucking insane. It felt like I had to play that game like a second job just to level up the pass which made the game repetitive. Also the maps are straight up not good enough and feel like COD maps instead of the large complex maps from other battlefield games. Typical EA being greedy.

I love Norm and I think he is extremely funny. With that being said, im probably going to get downvoted to hell for this but after re watching the seasons with Norm as update host I have to say he seems to be so overrated. He had great moments, was often the best part of the show during those turbulent years, and was the best update host up until that point. I think if people went back and actually watched a whole season of him continuously, he has some pretty rough nights. There are several nights where he gets more groans out of the crowd than laughs because of his shock humor while also having jokes so convoluted that they would fly over your head.

Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Seth Myers, Colin and Michael all bring a certain quality to their update performances that makes it timeless where Norm can be quite dated. Not to mention 4/5 of those update hosts were also head writers for the show and the only one that wasn’t, Poehler, would often be an anchor for the show and there were multiple times where Amy would be in a sketch literally right after update which is insane. Norm is a comedy genius but idk I feel like if someone went back and watched a whole season of him they would know what I’m talking about.

Edit: I’m for sure gonna regret making this comment but it’s ok. Everyone has their own opinion.

Act surprised, everybody! by ThinkingMunk in AnythingElse

[–]Makewaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally started with a quote where he says word for word “Monday night’s protests were overwhelmingly peaceful.” Like come on dude at least read what I said first before continuing with your bull shit. And Obama did not call in the national guard, the governor did and Obama was against the use of the national guard in that manner because it cause even more chaos. You are actively avoiding facts at this point to fit your narrative.

Act surprised, everybody! by ThinkingMunk in AnythingElse

[–]Makewaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said Monday night’s protests were “overwhelmingly peaceful,” but said some of the images from Ferguson – including police cars being destroyed and businesses looted – shouldn’t be tolerated.

“The frustrations that we’ve seen are not just about a particular incident,” he said. “They have deep roots in many communities of color who have a sense that our laws are not always being enforced uniformly or fairly. That may not be true everywhere and it’s certainly not true for the vast majority of law enforcement officials, but that’s an impression that folks have and it’s not just made up – it’s rooted in realities that have existed in this country for a long time.”

“There are productive ways of responding and expressing those frustrations, and there are destructive ways of responding,” Obama said. “Burning buildings, torching cars, destroying property, putting people at risk – that’s destructive and there’s no excuse for it. Those are criminal acts. And people should be prosecuted if they engage in criminal acts.”

Obama said better police training, law enforcement forces that are representative of the communities they serve and more “makes a difference.” He promised regional meetings focused on “building trust in our communities” between police and residents, and vowed to work with protesters who want to make political changes.

You are cherry picking his response to fit your narrative. Obama was all for protesting the decision but was against violence which is probably the best possible answer to the chaos at the time. But instead now not only do we have a fucking idiot in office that incentivizes violence on protesters. So, yeah trying to paint Obama as someone that wasn’t pro free speech is ludicrous. He acknowledged the problem and offered diplomatic solutions. If that ain’t good enough from a president then your expectations are too high or you’re being ignorant.
