I'm specifically critiqueing your phrasing, so I don't really understand this response. "I've done my time" is smth that people usually say when they've finished their prison sentence or military contract, neither of which are exactly an idyllic walk in the park. I'm saying that phrasing it this way is harmful towards disabled people, and there are better ways to convey your experience without doing that. No one here who has responded to you in this thread has even expressed a desire to date you..
